VilelaBot

I'd like it to notify me of a thread, but how do I know it's ID numbdr
I'll salvage this by moving to a more proper forum...

Just PM VilelaBot with the subject "watch" and your thread id as the content (literally next to the "t" in the link)
It will monitor every single post of that thread for you.

Thanks for moving it. I did put that number alone, any commands I need?
Not really, just wait for someone to post in the thread you mentioned that it will notify you.

It, said unknown command.
Huh. That's weird.

Actually that's a bug. The watch command syntax is !vb watch add/del (number 1) (number 2 etc.), however the "add" part was optional (so !vb watch 12345 is same as !vb watch add 12345), but when I ported and made all VilelaBot commands universal (for IRC/Discord/SMWC/Web/etc.), I ended up messing up the "add" check and making it obligatory to work. That should be fixed now.

To use !vb watch in IRC, you must PM VilelaBot with "key" subject and then connect the accounts by doing !vb smwclink command in query. Alternatively if you prefer Discord, simply put your discord tag in your profile and VilelaBot will automatically link both accounts.

This command allows you configure notifications whenever a specific thread gets a reply. How to use: !vb watch <add/del> <thread id 1> [thread 2] .. [thread n] or !vb watch list. Thread ID is the unique ID of each thread. You can get it by quoting the &t= value in url. For example, the thread id from https://www.smwcentral.net/?p=viewthread&t=84110 is 84110. Command "add" adds a thread to your watch list, while "del" removes a thread from your watch list and finally "list" shows the list of thread that you're currently monitoring. Currently, new thread replies are reported though PM. While this command is supposed to only work though SMWC PM, you can still use it under IRC if you connect both accounts by !vb key or though Discord if you insert your discord tag in your SMWC profile.

#area51 - *boom*
Ok thank you, for straightening this out.
Edit: vb claims to not be able to parse the thread. The thread is 89974.
Certainly, the command might be confusing because it must be !vb watch numbers and only numbers. If you put a dot after the numbers it won't work. I added @@vb watch this, if you put it in an empty line of your post, VilelaBot will watch the thread you just posted for you now (it will PM you if it worked).
