What are the differences between Quad64 and Toad's Tool 64?

Can someone help me with this?

Quad64 is a new level editor made by Davideesk and should soon be able to fully replace Toad's Tool 64, however Quad64 does not
yet have all features of TT64 (which will happen though in the near future).
There is no real difference, except that Quad64 uses a classical GUI layout and is less buggier than TT64 currently.

EDIT: Oh, and it's open-source. So, the community can help improve the level editor as well.

Pretty much this, also it's much much better than Toad's Tool 64.
Why is it "so much better" it feels weird like for example the extravagant lighting is not carried over witch makes sense but then why show it?

Quad64 was initially created to have better ROM compatibility than TT64. TT64 is restricted to only using extended North American ROM files, while Quad64 can use any of the 4 main versions of SM64: the North American ROM, the European ROM, and both of the Japanese ROMs. You can also edit non-extended ROMs as well to some degree. Right now the only thing you can edit is Objects & Warps, but I do plan on adding texture replacing in the next update.

There have also been some issues with TT64 not working correctly in Windows 10 for some users, so this new alternative level editor should be a better option for them.

I'm not really sure what you are talking about with the lighting. Quad64 is more accurate to what the level geometry will actually look like in-game.
I haven't used Quad64 yet, I guess I should try it!
