I'm working on a new hack called Super Mario World DX. Didn't change the title screen yet but there's the first level.

And also sorry for the bad status bar pallete, the status bar will be changed in the future.
If you're on Firefox 70+, and you don't see the blur effect, go to about:config and enable layout.css.backdrop-filter.enabled and gfx.webrender.all
For the best aesthetics, use Chrome, or with some settings, Firefox.

Colour scheme based on the awesome ViM theme, Gruvbox.
Little bit of cutoff right under the green koopa. It also looks like you mix different graphic styles in the same level, which looks interesting.

Thank you! I noticed the cutoff when you pointed it out, going to change it.

And also.

Fixed the cutoff.

Also one more screenshot.

I finished the Bonus Area minus the music which is still vanilla.

Are you gonna mix styles from a few different Mario 2D games? It looks like a pretty good idea to me. There's only one thing I hate. The foreground palette in the bonus room with Luigi in the background isn't really nice. Can you change it into something with more consistent colors?

Thank you! I'll use numerous different graphics that are custom or from a 2D Mario Game, music will be varied, too.

There'll be other stuff to like a outright Sonic themed level or a, ehm... DKC level, i'll try to find a realistic FG that doesn't clash with the BG.

Oh, thank you. Liked this background and the first time i saw it is in Yoshi's Strange Quest.

I see status bar palette issues on the last SMB2-styled screenshot and on the last screenshot. Other than that, it's fine.

Aaaaaa the 8bit SML graphics do not work with the 16bit SMW graphics ahaha

I'd probably just use regular desert graphics from like SMB3 or smth and base the level around custom SML enemies to make up for the lack of SML gfx

The game it's from (Sutte Hakkun) is pretty good too!

Absolutely check it out if you're into puzzle games (warning: it gets real absurd as it goes on!)
A translation patch was released recently on Romhacking.net if you want to limit yourself to the ingame hints rather than use YouTube and GameFAQs for when you're stuck

...Hasuke is aware of that, yes.

Sorry for that, I forgot about it. Honestly it's better when someone has some issues fixed, particularly if they know the issues can be fixed.

Somebody here, has anybody played my absolutely terrible older hacks?
