naturally, we failed that goal. so we set out a new goal: finish the hack by january 24th.
naturally, we failed that goal also. the hardest part of this experiment was the unpredictability of this years C3. by showcasing content from other users, we relied utterly on whether their stuff worked - and, for the most part, stuff didn't really work. on the first day going in we anticipated a big request thread from erik and a powerup patch to start building this hack, but the former barely existed and the latter was so buggy we needed asm help from a few different people (worldpeace, morsel & mellonpizza) to make it usable. tsutarjas sprites turned out to be buggy, and there wasn't much graphics to show off for anything that was meant to be more than like, 5 levels. there was a really neat selection of music this year though.
however, as the event went on more and more neat stuff showed up, and we got enough help to stabilize things. by the end of c3 we just weren't ready to show this off as a finished product, so we took a few more days to fix all the bugs, and even add in a new level. we hope we were able to showcase off the things you guys worked really hard on in this hack.
so without further ado, i'd like to present:
stick mice in my head and then beat my head in with a hammer and let them back out
this hack was helmed by ~none other than me~, with levels & help from
snoruntpyro, frozenquills, lazy, morsel, worldpeace, mellonpizza, sixcorby, & ft029
there's a few known graphical glitches (such as the yoshi house in the ending), but we're unsure if we'll fix it currently. if there's any major bugs or anything let us know. cheers.
