It's update time again!

First I've finally finished World 6, so here are more screenshots from it:

And second, since I already have 2 new worlds done (minus some tweaking), I've thought of maybe releasing another demo including them. But I don't know if it might be too soon, since the latest demo that I released is less than 2 weeks old, so that's why I will like to hear your opinion.

Also, I just noticed that your saturation gradients are in reverse.

Doesn't look like it to me.

I like this hack's palettes but I agree on those...things on the ceiling in the third screenshot. They don't look good.

Very nice aesthetics, and the levels don't look too bad either. I may be interested in playing this later.
After a lot of procrastination, lack of inspiration and working on other stuff, I was able to finally get over halfway done with World 7, so here are some screenshots from it:

Also, I've finally updated the first post with new screenshots and information, though there still is some stuff that is outdated.

I think these screenshots of the hack are very good. Has it got custom music? And how many worlds and levels has it?

I find the bottom part of this background boring and repetitive compared to this screenshot (even though it's SMW's original). I'd remake this part using various other cloud tiles.

Other than that everything else looks interesting so far. I'm interested on playing the full version of this hack when it comes out.
Holy shit I haven't updated this thread in months.

So yeah progress slowed down exponentially during these past months due to various reasons, but still I was able to finally finish W7(for the most part), so here are some screenshots from the levels (and also the map which I forgot to show on my previous update):

Also a few months ago the 4 world demo was accepted on the site, so if anyone missed it and wants to play it there it is.

Feedback is appreciated.

(Now hopefully it won't take me as long to make the next update.)

I made a support photo for this hack!

Feel free to bother me. ._.
(No more Layout for me because of someone)

Are you going to use custom sprites in this hack? Seriously, I like custom sprites#tb{:]}

Well, I managed to pick up pace with this hack so now it only took me half the time to make a new update. Thus, here are some pics of World 8, Skull Valley:

Since this is the last world in the game, this is probably gonna be one of the last updates in this thread. Now hopefully this time I can actually finish this by the end of the year.

Looks pretty interesting. Looking forward to play it.
I especially like how traditional it looks, I like hacks with that style!
Oh hey this isn't dead.

So yeah while I haven't made an update in a year I've still been working on this from time to time. At this point most of the levels are done so I've been gonig back and polished/fixed/changed stuff that I wasn't satisfied with (in some cases the whole level).

Here's an example of that plus a level from world 6 because why not:

World 2 - Over-Heating Castle
World 6 - Treetop Trouble

If you've played the demo or pay attention to the previous screenshots on the thread you may notice a few graphical changes.

This all looks really good, I only have one complaint. I see a lot of raccoon/tanoki themes yet wears a cape. I really believe you should consider using raccoon Mario instead.
I haven´t played your demo i admit, but this hack looks quite promising.

1 thing I want to inform you about is, that if you didn´t disable L/R-Scrolling in your hack/this specific level you can softlock the game here by scrolling the screen, where the autoscroll-generator starts.

I didn´t read any single thread you´ve posted, so if you´ve already mentioned, that you deactivated scrolling, nevermind then.

Glad to hear this hack makes progress. Iirc i´ve played an old version back in 2015 already. I liked it back then and if you´ve improved your design since then (by judging the screenshots you did) i´d really like to play the final version as well #tb{:]}

I'm glad you're back to this hack and the progress is still going on. I like those two levels. Nice job! Also I like your name referring to DKC
I have a Discord server as well! (by joining, you agree to the rules)

Too lazy to do that but we'll see.

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks (again) for the feedback.

More levels:

World 3 - Vine Voyage
World 5 - Cheep Cheep Ahoy

The level revising process is almost done, so once I get done with that and finish the missing levels there shouldn't be much stuff left to get done with before release outside of testing.

Centipede:

I watched the World 3 level on YouTube. Looks like it would be an excellent opportunity to achieve more 1-ups! I also watched the World 5 level. My question is - What do the red switches at 0:26 do?

They are meant to prevent Mario from reaching the area up there, while at the same time let the bubble with the mushroom inside it pass through without popping it.
