PIXI and the Extended No Sprite Tile Limits patch

I'm trying out switching to PIXI right now (from Romi's Sprite Tool, believe it or not). Things seem to be working fine, except for one thing: applying the Extended No Sprite Tile Limits patch crashes the game. This is reproducible on an otherwise clean ROM.

On the one hand this is no surprise given the sheer number of hijacks that patch has, but on the other hand I'd expect submission page to note any PIXI incompatibilities, and it doesn't. I really haven't followed PIXI's development that closely, so sorry if this is common knowledge.

Can anyone confirm that these two are incompatible, and suggest what do to or what I might be doing wrong? Thanks!

PIXI's cluster sprite hijack conflicts with the Extended NMSTL patch. Akaginite posted a workaround here, but there's probably a way to prevent this by modifying the patch, not PIXI. I might look into that a little bit later.
So apparently the patch isn't as bug-free as I assumed, and not as popular either? The latter would explain why there's no warning in the description.

Either way, thanks for confirming! #tb{:)} Good to know. You don't need to bother looking into it too much, since I'll probably hold off on using the patch for now. (That seems to be the recommended thing to do anyway.)
