Super Mario Bros - Classic Remix

I have been a member on here for over a year and I admit it. I haven't contributed much on here. So it's time to reveal what I'm currently working on. I decided to make my hack 8-bit since there aren't many 8-bit hacks out there. Anyway, here are some screenshots:

First Overworld Map

Being that this is a "Remix". I am going to feature GFX from SMB1, SMB2, SMB3, and more! Sprites from STARSW.zip were used to make these levels feel more original such as the SMB1Scroll to make the level not scroll backwards.

Some SMB2 Work. (Big thanks to InvisibleCoinBlock for the recent blocks!)

This level has the side warping effects. Also, the block on the left is... yeah you guessed it... the info box.

Subspace. I have it set up that the level automatically teleports you back after a few seconds. Yes, you have to press X or Y to pick up the mushroom.

Now as far as the status bar goes, there is no reserve box. After many days of thinking, I have decided that it's more original without it. Also, yeah no bonus stars either. I'll have other ways to special bonus games. The clock icon at the top is only used in some levels where the on/off switch goes back and forth automatically. For example, some of the levels in You VS Boo in SMBDX... which had the timer switch block.

Also, being that I'm featuring SMB3, Cape Mario has been replaced with Raccoon Mario. No SMB3 levels have been created yet although I managed to get the screen scrolling pipes finally installed successfully with all the other custom stuff. However, I have no knowledge in ASM. I only know how to do some minor tweaking with existing ASM code, but nothing major.

Questions? Comments? Feel free to share!
This looks great! The only thing i dont like is the 8bit smb3 mario, id rather see you use the smb1 8bit mario. Thats just me.
It is good! I hope you release a DEMO soon!.

I have a question. Where I can download STARSW.zip file? I cant find it :/
Mega Mario:
Yeah, I definitely wanted to go 8-bit with Mario. The only reason why I chose SMB3 over SMB1 is because in SMB1, he doesn't really have any outlines. Being that Mario 3 is a favorite for many, I'd figure he can be most original in the SMB3 levels.

I've downloaded STARSW.zip a long time ago. I think it was off of Carol's website but I could be wrong... It was definitely a Japanese page. I don't remember the exact URL though... :(
i actually like they way this looks. :D
Most of the screens are looking quite nice, and it's great to see an SMB Remix that isn't an exact copy. My eyes instantly darted to this though...

Astounding job turning the overworld 8-bit. Honestly, I could have seen that being used in the original SMB as an overworld. Couple complaints, though I'm sure you have plans to fix them:

1. Is there anything you can edit to make the paths not "cut off" when they hit the fortresses, cliffs, and laters? It looks kind of odd.
2. Any chance you could make it look like the pipe is going into something, even if you color a squiggly black line on to the pipe to make it look like it's on grass?

Other than that, well done. It looks great.
-insert generic complimant-
That's awsome! Did you hand raw those OW GFX?
Nice job ripping the OW GFX from SMB Deluxe for GBC, it looks great how you arranged it :P
I wonder what a HFD opcode would do in ASM...
Thanks for the feedback so far! To be honest, I've ripped all the graphics myself from all the games. Even though some was available here, I felt comfortable making my own version since the palettes were already up and didn't feel like recoloring existing exgfx. I actually ripped the SMBDX map gfx from an png file I found in Google...

@SNN: I actually do want to fix the pipes. I also want to fix the ladders, since they seem too big compared to the connecting paths.
I'd actually liked the graphics and the OW. They make a fitting.

@SNN: The paths were cutoff in Super Mario Bros. 3 though. >_>
You have a point, P-Bouncy. Cutoffness Man did do a lot of that in NES games. Some examples below:

SMB1 World 8-4 The pipe you come out of in the water portion.

SMB2 1-1: In the waterfalls and some clouds...

Or how about the gaps in SMB3's World 2-3?

I can try to work around it, but I don't know how much I can cut back on Cutoffness Man. But then, I don't know, because although it doesn't seem right in some places, I do want to keep it as original as possible... :/

I definitely want to fix the OW ladders, and the pipes, though...

EDIT: Oops on the links!
Screenshots don't work. The links to it works, but all it says is:
