Palette Changes

When messing with byte x0650D, which controls the palettes that Star Mario cycles through, I found that if you set it to 00, Mario will not cycle through any palettes when initially obtaining a fire flower. (However, after a second or two, he suddenly gets fire palette) This means that both the invincibility and fire flower palette cycles are controlled by the same byte. Another effect of setting it to 00 is that if you are Fire Mario and you get a star, you have normal Mario palette for the duration of the invincibility.
Hmmm.. interesting.

This is valuable information for me, I'll look more into it.
This sounds pretty useful. Itd also be nice to know where the offset for throw blocks and supershellkoopa pallete cycling is.

<&SNN> they could be completely blunt and just say something like
<&SNN> "Big Fucking Erection Man"
It's most likely around the same spot, with the trowable turn block.

It'd be cool if you could somehow use this info to remap the star pallete to pallete F so Mario can have a different color when he's invincible.....
