@Lunatic Wolf: I think that you're testing your level and check if it's okay before inserting any sprites, that's okay I do the same thing too :P but I think that you must add holes with water.

@SyStemkrAsh: Very nice level you've got here! The enemies and FG fits perfectly with a icy level also nice music!
Promoting my hack a little bit :)

Those screens look great! I really like your palettes and that submap.
I'm in LOVE with the palette in the 5th screen. Seriously, we're planning a wedding for May. I saw these level's in the SMW Crying Sheep thread you made and I can't wait to see more of the level design!
Hmm. . . not sure what to say so I'll just stop talking. . .

@Kojeco2
With "the palette in the fifth screen" you mean the one down-left (if you go through the lines) ? Because this is not mine. It was added to the amazing graphics by RipperonX.

Spy is bad at making not dark palettes

hey, world 1 is almost finished with this one!
(maybe i will make a thread, who knows?)
Thats looks pretty amazing...the decoration is great and I love that BG. Seriously it fits the mood so well and the moon is cool.
Spy nice photo! i like the BG :)

You know, these vanilla/semi-vanilla screenshots normally don't appeal to me that much anymore since everyone seems to be sticking to such style these days, but that looks pretty impressive. I absolutely adore the palette choices, especially your usage of bright colors in the upper portion of the ocean to suggest moonlight reflection, which definitely gives the ambience a magical feel.

Good work.
As no staff member appears to have anything against it (or those who do haven't spoken up about it)...

Attention

It has been decided to merge the ExGFX and Palette showoff threads back into the Screenshot/Video thread. The "no BG rips" rule justifying the ExGFX thread hasn't been in effect for ages, and the purpose of the palette thread, to be honest, has been questionable from day one (especially since apparently no one posts .tpl files there any more).

So yeah, from now on, you can and should post ExGFX (rips or custom) and palettes in this thread.

Thanks.

Spy: That just looks incredible, one of the best night vanilla levels I think I have ever honestly seen. I'm really digging the YI moon in the background and the dark but still noticeable foreground. Nice touch again with the moon.
meh

well.. the exgfx show off thread is closed, and now i have to show this here.

opinions will be accepted #w{=3}
Made you look. Now Breath Manualy.

@Spy, This is looking amazing! I like the graphics and the palettes a lot. They really look like a calm nightime level.

@Neo carld923, Those look really nice but I see they mess a little with SMW's palette. Looks like using SMW objects with it won't be that easy.
holy geez, i'm gonna thanking all of you so hard.
THANKS GUYS.

You could use Parallax scrolling with Level ASM if you want.

well actually, it's a vertical level, so the scrolling is very subtle AND...I have no idea on how to use levelasm :(
Might as well repost here now the ExGFX thread is closed:

Grassland + Boulders,

What do you think?
Insert Coin is back!

in fact this is a sequel we are calling "Insert 2 Coins." clever right? not really. regardless, me and noon are hard at work now and we will have some previews for when C3 rolls around. so be prepared. everything is beta and subject to change at this point, so chances are this screenshot will become outdated very quickly. but you should enjoy it while you've got it. :)
I loved the first Insert Coin! And I'm glad to see a sequal. The screenshot you have there looks pretty creative, and I love the palettes. Look forward to seeing more!
Nothing much to show, just wanted to show off a nice screen shot of a level I made.
