Munchers/Black Pirana Plants were never used in the original SMW or was it? If it was used where?

several places, actually.
Examples would be level 22, 10A, 10B, 116, 127, 1ED.
So yes, They are used. Just quite less then one would expect.

A lot of hacks like to overuse munchers to the point, where they are so overused, that they are omnipresent. :-[
