Tip: Press F2 on the level editor to see sub-screen boundaries. This will help you avoid glitching Dragon Coins by putting them on the sub-screen boundaries.

I've recently been updating the FAQ's and I could use your help. If you have a question that you think that should be added to the FAQ's, submit them here, and I will add it.

How do you save an OW from one hack to another?
How do you Rip ExGFX and palletes?
Why do I need buoyancy for some levels?
Ah, one thing that's left out in the Title Screen/Credits section, is that whoever wants to edit it must use the Chelsea easter egg first.
Nopes...
That`s if you don`t have LM`s newest version...
It still may be a good idea to say that if you have an older version of Lunar Magic, you need to activate that easter egg though. Because, if anyone wants to edit it, looks in the F.A.Q., and finds that the menu doesn't exist due to them having an older version and not activating the easter egg, they would probably get confused.
One of my recent posts made me think of having an ExAnimation FAQ.

Q: What is ExAnimation?
A: A feature in Lunar Magic that lets you use new Animations for blocks and sprites in a level.

Q: How do I use ExAnimation in my hack?
A: [Insert (link to an)ExAnimation tutorial]

Q: I made a new animation, but it doesn't appear in oter levels!
A: Any will only be saved in that specific level you made it. You can save time by pressing CTRL+I to copy all the level, then delete it using CTRL+Del. The animation settings witll still be saved in that level, though.

Q: Theres flicker at the top of the screen!
A: Using about 0x20 entries in the level makes a flicker to appear there. Remove some to make it dissapear.
puts a extra about ExAnimation that i have experience of.

Q:The animation flickers in the level but not in LM!
Whats wrong?
A:you have problably overwritten one of the original SMW animations!
Put it in a nonanimated title1
i found a typo. on the Title page, on number 7 of recording for the title screen (cant remember what it is) it says install when it should say insert
The music one needs updating (broken links)
How to patch a ROM with xkas. ( i would like to know too. lol)
There should be a F.A.Q page about stuff on smwcentral for noobs like:

Q. how do I get an avatar?

Q. how do I submit a hack?

That kind of stuff. I suggest it so we can keep the forums cleaner.
But those things are so simple... If someone's smart enough to read the FAQs, they'd probably be smart enough to figure those things out on their own anyway. >_>
I have an idea. How about "how do I get a userbar in my bio/layout?" I myself would like to know. Do I just copy and paste?

Yes, just quote the post with the userbar and copy and paste the code
In case people can't read the front page news, I've added a new section to the FAQ about technical fixes and helpful tips.

If you have anything regarding this section that you feel should be added, please send me a PM, or post it here. Thank you.
How about a section that tells how to put images and links in posts.

Answer: You cannot link them directly from your hard drive unless it is actually connected to the internet. Most people instead use a free image hosting service. I (Tatrion) would recommend you use a site called Photobucket.com, because you can organize and see all your images very easily. There are other image hosting sites, like Imageshack.us and Tinypic.com, if you prefer to not use Photobucket for any reason.

The URL button should be self-explanatory IMO, as you just have to enter an address, and you don't need to upload anything first.
I meant explaining how to do this: clickable link, and putting an in a post.

Really late edit: Never mind, didn't know what he meant by URL button, as I always did it manually.

Q: Can I use a glowing color on any object or sprite like the Yoshi Coin?

A: Yes, it's possible. Go to the list under the header and open "level" then check "Enable Custom Palettes".Open the color editor, 8x8 editor(just to check the palettes easier),and the ExAnim Frames Box. First, choose which tile to edit and look for its palette using 8x8 editor. At the ExAnim window, put a color of the tile on
the destination list.Above put the order "Entry:Used,Normal,Palette."
Use the color editor to put a main color, then edit using another on the palette list next to it. On the bottom right it says the tile
color code. For example:
FFFF is WHITE;
0 is BLACK;
1F is RED;
21F is ORANGE;
3FF is YELLOW;
3F0 is L. GREEN;
3C0 is GREEN;
7FE0 is S. BLUE;
7C00 is BLUE;
4010 is PURPLE.
Any color in between is a color you can type in hexidecimal form. Type in the 16 color codes. When you're done typing the codecs, Click
the button "COPY TILE". The tile color will start flashing.You're done editing.To do more, do this again.
I have one for the technical fixes and helpful tricks.

Q. How can I use the Instant message sprite in any level?
A. Press Ctrl+F8, and click OK. You can use the Instant message sprite in any level, but if Mario starts on a submap, the intro level will change to 1C5.
