I had planned to keep this hack secret for much longer, but then C3 came along and I decided it would be a perfect opportunity to show my stuff. So here it is, the sequel to my hack, The Eggs of Saear, The Eggs of Saear 2: Rhidiam's Secret!
TEOS1 featured Mario, the Koopa kids and Bowser, some cool graphics, and decent levels.
TEOS2, if all goes as planned, will feature an all new cast of characters, cool ASM, cutscenes, completely overhauled graphics, custom enemies, custom bosses, custom music, and maybe some super cool levels.
Plot
Aden is a young adult living a casual life on a remote unnamed island. He gets a message from the princess of the nearby unnamed kingdom that invites him to a ceremony. The recently stolen Eggs of Saear have been recovered, and they are hatching. However, in his quest, Aden gets into a rivalry with a band of ogres and their leader, Daerg. Unknown to Aden, he is a mercenary who teamed up with a mysterious thief, named Roxiras, who plans to ruin the ceremony.
Characters
Aden - A young adult with long black hair. He is the main protagonist and has been invited to the celebration of the hatching of the Eggs of Saear.
Daerg - A ruler of a tribe of ogres. He and his minions get into skirmishes with Aden throughout his journey.
Princess Azure - The princess of the unnamed kingdom. Her presence is necessary at the ceremony, but she is kidnapped by Roxiras. Oh noes!
Rhidiam - The hatchling of the first of the Eggs of Saear to hatch. However, he hatched after Roxiras kidnapped Princess Azure, so he teams up with Aden to save her.
Roxiras - The main antagonist. He sent Daerg to assassinate Aden, because he knows a secret that only him and Princess Azure know... Also, he's named after the user named roxahris.
Overworld
The main overworld is pretty much the only thing I have close to complete in this hack, lol.

Here are the schemes of the worlds in order:
1 - Beach
2 - Grass
3 - Cave
4 - Forest
5 - Ruins
6 - Kingdom
7 - Desert
8 - ???

These are normal level tiles, and they are the most common. The idea comes from Kirby 64. There is no indication of whether or not there is a secret exit to these levels.

This is a boss tile, which comes at the end of a world. (except for world 1) The level is entirely a fight with a boss, and maybe with a powerup before the battle. Here are the bosses in order:
1 - N/A
2 - Ogre troop
3 - Daerg
4 - Plant monster thing
5 - Rock monster thing
6 - Daerg
7 - Roxiras
8 - ???

This is a secret tile. They are found by finding secret exits to certain levels. They are harder than normal levels, but usually allow you to skip most of or even all of the world they're found in.
Levels
I have almost nothing to show in the way of levels, as I've only made one, which was, actually, originally just made for showing off graphics. It's world 5-2, complete with annotations to explain stuff.

I'm not going to lie, that's one hell of an OW, and those numbered level tiles are something new and epic. You are great at drawing graphics. Also, there's a fix to stop the mushrooms (or 1-up shrooms) from going behind the FG, Taken from the rom map:
0C5E7 $01:C3E7 3 bytes ASM Set to EA EA EA to stop fire flower from going behind the FG(finally)
Err, actually I'm not sure, it says fire flower, but hey, its worth a try.
I'm really looking forward to this hack, good job Spade

Man, this is awesome! And Yoshi/Rhidiam looks ugly <_<
The OW is looking good. But look at the small island with the !: You used the wrong side tiles, I think. There are some which have water in the gap. Tag (big) was not closed.

I actually might just make a hole in the walls where the 1-up and the Light Seal (fire flower replacement) are. Thanks anyway.

I'm guessing that this level was designed to be easy, right? Well, it's design isn't that bad (no matter whether or not I'm taking into consideration the fact that there's going to be a powerup that makes Aden smaller).
I have a bit of a problem with the powerups being hidden behind the scenery as well. I'll experiment with the layer priorities a bit to see if that's the problem.
Overworld design looks rather nicely done, and I'm guessing that the overworld will be mostly linear (with some secret paths that act as shortcuts).
Graphics: Say, how did you manage to change Mario's graphics into Aden's anyways? I'd like to do that with one of my hacks as well.

But they were inspired by TSRPR. I drew them myself though.

It's looking nice, Spade. I have a question, though: Are you already done with the first Eggs of Saear or you are you just attempting to create some minor stuff for the sequel of it? Also, that level is rather nice - I loved the maze-style of it. The overworld is superb, by the way, however, when I first saw those level icons, I thought they were GM buttons! XD
They're not bad, though. I loved the overworld structure, in fact.
