New maker out. Not backwards compatible except graphics and audio.
Okay, I have given up on the monster catalogue script I'm using. Just not working out.
Slightly wonder why more people aren't interested in RPG maker here but anyways how is the monster catalog not working and for which RPG maker was it for?
nvm it's fixed now. The author finally got around to writing a compatibility patch.
And this is VX Ace.
Looking for Giant Tree (Think Click Clock Wood), Carnival, Beanstalk (think Beanstalk Way) and Outback tilesets for RPG Maker VX Ace if anyone's up to it.
Right, I have a question here.

Parallax BG's. When I used these in the normal VX they worked perfectly, but now in VX Ace they don't? They show up in the actual program, but not in game, making some maps completely black with some ground tiles.

Why is this? Am I forgetting something, or is this a glitch?

That might be a glitch I'd have to test this when I get home though then I could give a much better answer

Yeah this seems to be a glitch I can use them just fine in VX ace. Could you post the steps you take when setting them up?

Well, what I do is just as I did it in the normal VX...
By going to Map Properties, and change graphic under "Parallax Background" and the check the "Show in Editor" box.

That's all I had to do in VX for it to work, but in Ace it just doesn't seem to work.

Edit: Maybe a script is interfering?

That could be a reason I tested it out on a brand new vanilla file and the parallax background works fine for me, I would test it out on a new game with nothing added to it and see if you still get that problem.
Yes, it does work with one that is completely empty, giving me the feeling a script is interfering, I think I know whish one though. Probably my fog script "Woranata Multiple Fogs" the Ace version, but that's weird as the VX version didn't do that. Hm, I wonder if I can edit that part that deletes parallaxes.
from looking at the script it looks like parallax backgrounds are handled under the "Start Changing Fog Opacity Level" section but I'm not sure what would be causing them to not work.
