I don't really know. I've been playing video games for about as long I can remember, but I do remember I played a lot of Mario for the SNES and Nintendo 64... also Spyro for the PlayStation.

I don't remember exactly when it started, but before I turned one year old, I started to play with a SNES and Game Boy Pocket. I didn't even know what the hell I was doing, of course, but it still counts as gaming.
And that point began a long 15 years of obsession.
what a story, mark

Ever since I started playing Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64 at the daycare I used to go to. That was what got me into asking my mom if I could go to EB Games and get it. I ended up, unknowingly, getting Wind Waker instead. This was what got me into gaming, and also got me into becoming a Zelda Fan.
(Everyone at my daycare called me a loser for liking or even playing the game. )

Well my parent told me...that I was playing since I was a toddler!
I was raised with an Atari system and NES along with Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt/Track & Field cartidge (normally it would have just been Super Mario/Duck Hunt)
Plus pitfall was the only game for atari I had....the console was old!!
Both sides of my family in both countries played alot of games!
Why I remember playing SMB with my uncles and cousins in the same room lol
Ever since just like most people i was into gaming by Mario, i guess by that most of us dont appreciate other games like Halo/Call of Duty

The earliest memories I have are actually of video games! I must have been 3 or so, but I remember my dad and I playing SNES all the time. The first console I ever owned myself was the Nintendo 64, but when I first had it, I was scared of Bowser in SM64, lol. Needless to say, gaming has been a part of my life for a long time.

I "kinda" started gaming in 1999 or 2000.
I don't remember if it was SNES or N64,but I remember playing Super Mario World and The Legend of Zelda carina of Time alot.
I really started gaming in about September 2001,where I was playing Ocarina of Time ALL THE TIME.
And alot of other SNES games like Super Mario World,Yoshi's Island and The Legend of Zelda:A Link to the Past and so on.
I have been playing video games ever since I was able.
Or something like that.

In my early years, my older brother had a SNES. Two games, Donkey Kong Country 3 and Super Mario All-Stars. Great games. I know for certain that my brother had this console before I was born(1995), but I have never been told when I first started, though I believe it was when I were 3-4 years old. At the same time, my brother got a Nintendo 64 for Christmas, and he used to play it a lot. I pretty much owned the SNES by then, since he never used it anymore. After his interest for gaming in general went downhill, my interest was still sky high, and I ended up with both consoles.
The only real memories I have as my accomplishments in gaming, is at my 6th birthday, when I finally beat 8-3 in SMAS SMB: Lost Levels, and when I was 7 years old I beat SMB2. I don't remember when I beat SMB3 or DKC3, but I never beat SMB. ._. I still have my Nintendo 64, but I'm missing 5 or 6 games on it. I know that my SNES still exists, but I don't know exactly where it is(we stored it in my uncle's old grain silo along with a lot of other stuff, but we've not been able to find it).

- Go home
- 2 Years Later
- Get chipped playstation
- Pirate game
- $4 each
- Life is good
- 4 years later
- Get Xbox

Hmm...can't remember exactly when, but I think it may have been around 1999 - 2001, when I got my first gaming console: the PS1.
I think that one of the games I used to have for that system is what got me into gaming, and is still my favorite game to date: Spyro 3: Year of The Dragon.
That must have been around the year 2000, although I can't be sure.
In short, I first got into gaming the moment I started playing video games...or as some people have said already, as soon as I was able to play them.

Probably like when I was 7. My dad brought up his SNES from our basement. Apparently he got it when he was a teen. After watching him play Super Metroid I was hooked, especially the next day when I got up pretty early to give it a try.

I was about 4 when my dad gave me his SNES. Can you guess what my first game was?
