I have decided to join the Kaizo hacking bandwagon, and this not-so well-known WIP is appropriately called Super Mario FML. This right here is probably my favorite level that I've completed so far:
<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/eRgB4UwlDFg?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/eRgB4UwlDFg?fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
It would be interesting to watch a Let's Play of it.

Note that while you are on the P balloon you can pass through walls and stuff by alternating left and right every other frame. :V So this level can be broken a lot. :V

Can you put your hacks in the file bin (My Files) in the future, since my download limit has been reached on both rapidshare and megaupload, thank you
@Kaizokoban : some of those traps are really unique, I liked the one at the end and the part where you have to avoid the mushroom was pretty creative too. Just put sideways munchers on the walls you dont want the player to go through and it'll be great!
anyways now it's my turn
all this time, since the forums have been down i have been working on a new project called "Dedede Kaizo", why is it called "dedede" well it reffers (obviously) to "king dedede" from the popular kirby series. Because kirby is without a doubt one of the most popular and easy franchises it only felt fitting that my attempt at making a "soft kaizo" would be to name it somthing after a kirby game. (note: i do indeed like kirby alot and am not flaming on the franchise. I just find it to be stupidly easy), anyways i havent got a story line yet but this hack is your average kaizo i guess, it will have toad houses on the OW to give you tips on how to beat some levels (note: OW isnt finished) and will have some pretty unique traps and tricks (hopefully).
the vannilla graphics are only there because i like them, this is indeed a "gimick-y" hack (chocolate kinda - since with the levels i have previewed there is little to no asm in), also i have finished 8 and a half levels to this dy i just choose not to show them all.

Also note: all of my levels are supposed to have several ways to beat certain traps (obviously not with wall jumping or stuff like that )

I hate how people have started to change the label of Kaizo from its original meaning, "Stupid hard but doable", to what it tends to mean now, "Good luck without a ton of glitches and x10 slowdown frame advance and other tool assists". At least the original Kaizo didn't require more than just save states.

@OGS93 Thanks for pointing that out. I guess I assumed left plus right could only be done with TAS, but I tried it and it's much easier than I expected. I will fix it.

I sense a high percentage of Black and Red in this level. Looks nice, but the palette definitely needs changing a bit to look smoother.
Also i'm seeing a rise of good Kaizo Hacks in this thread, which is nice for a change.
*goes back to lurking for weeks on end*

Now that is awesome. I love the graphical style of the levels (like the first is Cave Story styled, second is ice).
Though, you really shouldn't take graphics from other hacks without permission (AKA Boon, plus some of the other sprite graphics).

ok, terribly sorry for not getting back to you about the beta testing, but i was gone for a while, and pretty much what i told you about the first four levels you gave me explained it all. but also, with these new vids i will say this, now it seems even less playable then before. i personally love these kind of hacks, but i know that you said it was playable at normal speed... but really, wall jumps? thats not for a playable kaizo, and also makes it even harder the cool or cruel then it was before.

@Pudim2060, The music is amazing. Though forced walljumps and wall catching is pretty mean.
