@Evil Soma Cruz: Even if it's a bit basic, that's a nice BG there, an dI like the gradient you have.
@Eelctron: The palette doesn't look bad, but I'd suggest giving more of an outline to the castle FG compared to how it is now.
@Killvin: The biggest problem with the song is the way it stops toward the middle. It could be an issue with the port itself, or something that's related to your addmusic. Either way, I'd suggest fixing it. The level itself is pretty good though.

And I agree with An00bis, the space below the "bridge" does look really akward.
And where are the level tiles? Do you still have to add everything?
They're supposed to be mountains, which is why they're so high. Maybe I could add more cliffs to fill up empty space.
And yes, I'm doing the 8x8 overworld tiles before the 16x16 ones. I might have to rearrange the hills and the like to make room for levels, but ehh, c'est la vie.

I'll fix: Red dot on OW, OW music, OW level name, more different sprites, trap at 4:33 / 6:15
Any comments?

I think that it's to cramped, and gives the player not a lot of room to maneuver. The overuse of spikes can also get pretty annoying pretty fast, so I suggest that you tone them down as well.

New video available. Yep, I'm also going to post this in the Screenshot thread. World 7 is started... only 1 more world before part 1 of the Blackhole is complete.
-----Level Information-----
Yep, this is the first level of world seven. As you can see... it is just as hard as Epic Level 3. Epic level tunes are starting to become level tunes as well. This is level 1 of Retnuh's World. Please enjoy.

-----Important Information-----
I have decided that World 8 isn't going to exactly be a world. I've decided (even though there are users that don't want to) to add a few Touhou Characters and even Gensokyo into the game. You may not know yet, but I really need these characters for the game to keep progressing. Reimu and the other's roles may not seem major at first, but by the end of World 8: Gensokyo... you'll see just how important they are.

Well, it appears that the halloween spirit has got the best of me.

The gfx was made by a user called THE IT on Mario Fans Gaming Galaxy. Any comments? There will definitely be more gfx added, like the pumpkin of course.

@ SCORPOIN(idk the halloween nick): I feel it's one of your better levels, (mainly because you don't need 8 hearts to complete, but it's still a good challenge) but I got bored of it staying a skull ride and skipped the last minute of the video. Point being, maybe you should do something different than the first half. also there seemed to be random garbled sprite gfx appearing from nowhere during the middle of the video.
@Black Magic: I'm liking the autumn palette as well as that the extra tiles you ripped match the SMW FG really well. I hope you make a good Halloween hack worth playing...

I just did this about 7 hours ago.

Yes, the same thing... Also acknowledge the backgroundy goodness. Ripped from 3 Ninja's Kick back, by me.

Tileset-Combining and Cutoffness-Eliminating ftw.

Time for an update. I bet some are wondering how I manage to fit so many tiles into one gfx file. The secret is that I don't. I delete unneeded gfx rom the bg and use it creatively in the foreground.

I made the pumpkin stems, oh, by the way, the pumpkins are ex animated. I also made the broken tree gfx. Does anyone like it? Also, I'm using my layer 3 background.

I really like it Adam. I think that the layer three BG and regular BG blend very well with the palettes provided. Terra Stripe I presume? Anyways I think it's great for anyone wanting to make a halloween hack that looks vanilla, but isn't.

Thanks! I'm really trying to be creative this time around. I'm still making gfx, as no real level design has actually begun.;)

This is my first SMW level, so I would appreciate some feedback and don't just say it's bad or something, tell me what I can do to improve it. Also, I forgot to switch my recorder to stereo mix (fail), so I'm using AudioSwap so you have something to listen to, at least.

For a first level, that's pretty good. My biggest suggestion, though, would be to mix up the terrain quite a bit - as a rule of thumb, long stretches of completely flat terrain shouldn't be used all that much, or at least without other platforms and such to mix it up.
Also, there's a bit of cutoff at the midpoint where it cuts into the little bush. Shouldn't be too hard to fix though.

Okay, thanks for the feeback. I didn't notice that bush cutoff until I actually did the recording, and I will add some more terrain variation to it.
