Sorry about the harshness.
Anyway, what about this? Simple background ExGFX that would better suit a city than 105's background.

The ExGfx is not bad, it just need more decorations and some changes. The 3 main buildings need to have a different inside GFX, to make them unique, specially the bar, that need to be a special place where the users will be in. Those are just my opinions though.
EDIT: i prefer a BG with Peach castle in him. Would make more sense then those buildings.
EDIT: yeah, Edits are back. Got to love kittens.

Going to agree with TheGamer there. Something along the lines of generic hills, or something with a castle in the BG would work best.
...or even a BG that actually -has- Toad houses in it.

This background from MPA should do the trick for BGs with Peach's Castle in there. IIRC, Andy also ripped it for used in his main project, so that's an option if you want to go to him first.

I got one idea, why not make the users in the bar be unlocked after the player beat some levels? Like, The bar will be locked until a certain point, and the toad in charge of the bar ask Mario to go through some levels and call some attention to the bar when it got opened, so more and more persons would come, so the player will need to revisit some levels and ask the users to go to the bar. something like it. Like a + quest after the player finish the game.
EDIT: I decided to try and draw a toad town GFX, it's a simple redraw of the current one.

Still working on it. Should i finish it?

Those GFX definitely look more polished than the old ones. You can send over ExGFXBB.bin or whichever file it was and I can replace the old ones with them.

I think you should add some large white spots to the red roofs TheGamer. Make them look like Mushrooms, you know what I mean?

The Spiny boss is working great now, and is quite fun to go up against. I like the new color scheme - whether it was intentional or not.

It wasn't, actually. It's a pretty easy fix though, and it should be done by the next update.

Actually, I'd keep it that way if it doesn't conflict with any other palettes; it looks more boss-like. But that's just me.
