This thread is loosely based off of the ZSNES help thread, I'm just improving on it a bit.
Ask any questions regrading any emulators.
Along with that, here is a list of a few of the more well-known Emulators and their sites that may also help you with what you need.
Note: I'll update this list as time goes on. If you feel I missed anything, feel free to post a link to it and I'll update this list. Just please make sure that the site DOES NOT contain any links to a ROM.

NEStopia - A easy to use, customisable emulator that supports just about everything. Recommended!
NESticle - NOT recommended, as it is very very old and outdated. If you're using this, use one of the emulators above!
SNES
ZSNES - Probably the most popular emulator.
SNES9x - Not quite as popular, but still useful. Sound emulation's iffy with some games, though.
SNESGT - A Japanese emulator in English. Has good sound emulation!
bSNES - Extremely accurate to the original machine, so system requirements are very high. Crappy computers need not apply!
N64
Project64 - The most popular emulator. Development has stagnated and the latest version is only available to donators or people who are very good at finding things.
Mupen64 - Development has stopped, and the latest spinoff (Mupen64plus) is current OSX/Linux only, but this might be useful to someone.
Next-Gen
Dolphin - A Gamecube AND Wii emulator? That WORKS? It's a Christmas Miracle!
Portables
VisualBoyAdvance-M - THE GBA emulator.
NO$GBA - A great emulator for GBA and DS.

No probs man.
If I get bored I might do a list of emulators for the DS, or possibly the Wii. I can't really do a PSP emulator list since I don't have one, let alone a homebrew-capable one.

I'm trying to save an SPC file to listen to from a boss. I'm using ZSNES 1.42, and the game is Ninja Warriors. When I listen to it, it doesn't work. It's either blank, or half a second of noise. Can someone answer? I have a savestate before entering that area, in case anybody just wants to do it themselves.

Let me guess, you tried to load the IPS patch?
Use Lunar IPS to patch it to a clean rom. Test your rom here.

OK. got that. Once again, excuse me, so in order to play the hacks on the emulator, i have to make the hack seem identical to the Original ROM with the Patch? in That case, do i need the Original ROM?

What? You take a clean rom, use Lunar IPS, patch it to the clean rom, and play that patched rom. If your rom is not clean get a new one. Don't ask for one, we are not allowed. It's illegal.

On ZSNES, when you make save states can't they be deleted? isn't that z something file?

They can be deleted. They're .zst or .zs# (with the pound sign being replaced by a number). I don't know about states above 9, though, since I don't increment my saves.

Easy. Go to CONFIG > SAVES and where it says STATE SHORTCUTS and ST0, ST1, ST2, etc., replace those with the key you want to use fore saveslot 1, 2, etc. I recommed using the keys 1 - 0 and for the ST+ and ST-, use - and =. Although you might be mixed up. And there you go.
