That .iso is not a .rar file, it's a .iso file that was set to *open* with WinRAR.

Yeah.. I get that =/ I didn't know that because I didn't bother looking at the properties. Still, thats not the problem. The problem is that I can't get the game to run properly and I dont know whats wrong.

Does anybody know how I can record a video using the super scope? ZSNES has super scope support, but It won't record with it. If no one knows of any that can, does anyone have any other ideas on how I can record it? Thanks!

Use a screen recorder like Fraps or Camtasia. =p

I searched but didn't find anything. I'm sorry if this has already been solved.
When I try to play just about any japanese hack on ZSNES, I get these graphical errors:
http://imgur.com/sPhXu
If I play it on SNES9x (the latest version), I don't get the graphical errors but once the music of the level starts, the entirety of the game sound cuts out with a loud screech.
What's up? This never seems to happen with non-japanese hacks.

Several Japanese hacks break in various ways. If it breaks in both zsnes and snes9x, you could try an older version of one of those. It's got to work in something, or even those Japanese will notice they're doing it wrong.
My suggestion is snes9x 1.51. It works with most of those broken hacks.

Also, if you want to save .SPCs from Snes9X, then...
CodeFile > Save Other > Save SPC Data
I think you already knew that, dammit!

Alrighty. Time to see if anyone can help me. I use Fraps version 3.4.6 and ZSNES as my emulator of choice. I have a problem. Fraps won't record footage from ZSNES, even in fullscreen mode. Does anyone know how to fix the problem? I've looked at the help document but can't find anything.
Thanks!

1. What's the difference between an ISO and a ROM? (slightly off-topic)
2. Is there a Gamecube emulator for the Wii? Also see this.

@Roads:
1. The file extension. Maybe the encryption too. Don't try to straight up change a .iso into a .bin or a .smc by renaming it, that won't work.
2. Nobody is ever going to have any reason to make a gamecube emulator for the Wii. If yours really can't use gamecube disks, you can either buy an actual gamecube or get Dolphin.

Well, considering that it's the new official Wii verison, I figured maybe somebody did it at some time, but I don't really need it either.
Also.

I downloaded some save files for SMA3 (.sav and .frm), and I can't get any of them to work. VisualBoyAdvance simply overwrites the 64 KB 100% save file with an 8 KB new one. Am I doing something wrong here? How do I fix/get around this?

Did you check which save type VBA is using? It should be under Options, then Emulation. If it isn't, then may I direct you to this version of VBA?

Actually, Zeldara109 got me a working .sav file, so everything is more or less okay now. I wish I knew what caused that, though....

is there a way to step through the bsnes debugger without causing the emulator screen to go black (i.e. have the screen continue to update)? I need to find the exact spot in the smw level loading routine that something happens, and I don't see any other way to do it.

What version of Bsnes can allow me to change the video mode? Because the latest version doesn't not allow me to do that! Is it worth it?

I don't think that there are any online SNES emulators. The only current way to download an emulator. The best one (debatably) is BSNES. Another good one is Snes9X. You can find both in the tools section.

Thanks for the answer! The reason I am asking is: I want to create a mario game (I have done it before and know how to do it) for non-mario experts among my friends.
It is for my friends, so they can play it at home, but they are everything but mario experts, and I don't want to force them to download any emulator, set the control, explain them how to load a file into an emulator and so. In other words I would like to avoid anything which sounds complicated for the ears of ppl who never came in contact with emulating!
Maybe there is another way? Is it possible to export my mario game into a different file format then .rom? So it can be played online with flash or whatever? Or to kind of save the game as an .exe file, which already includes the emulator? Or any other idea?
(The mariogame itself will be very simple including some jokes only my friends and I know about, and they don't even need to know how to use the run button or how to fly with the cape to solve the game. I might write something with solid blocks inside the level which only they understand why its funny.)
