Welcome to the C3 thread of "The 4 Keys of Safety!" hack!
Story: Bowser has locked Mario and Luigi up with 4 keys, each key leads to different rooms, a forest, water, fire and classic room. Toad has to find the 4 keys in order to save Mario and Luigi, to do that he needs to go to 4 islands, the first key Toad will get is the Forest Key.
When Toad collects all the 4 keys, he has to go to the final castle. The final castle is a big maze containing rooms with the 4 styles I mentioned.
ExGFX: Yes
Custom Music: Yes

I don't like the clear water, but apart from that this looks brilliant!

Looks somewhat confusing, but that may be a good thing. I dislike the palette of the swampy submap though. It's all green and the grass is boring with no texture. :/
Also, what's with the red mountains in the cutscene?
Other than that it all looks good.

Yay, download!
I can't wait to test it after I'm done managing my post for C3! I've been looking forward to this hack's demo!

Looks great! However, you need Fade Fix, and I recommend shortening that long section over the swamp at the end.

Bad status bar.

I need Xkas for fade fix, and I don't know how to use fade fix. And I know the status bar is messed up, I can't fix it, I'll mess up the BG palette with it.

The fadefix patch is in the filebin, or just click here.

This is not bad Hiyoko. You've matched colors and themes efficiently, and I was waiting for an addition of a playable Toad within a SMW hack.
However, 2 insights:
1)Fix the forest water. It actually looks like hardened jelly.
2)Darken the gold forest BG just a tad bit. Trust me, you might like it a bit darker (Decrease each RGB value by 15-20).
Working with suits and ties at work made me color sensitive. Forgive me. xD.
Keep at it soldier. This has potential to be a featured hack.

Thanks DragonFire for the patch, all the colours fade away as it's supposed to.
@Sagittaire
1. You mean the swamp? The ExGFX isn't made by me though.
2. I'll take a look at it.

Ah. I see. The Swampwater's top looks like a solid ground piece. If you'd feel up to editing it, go for it, but it wont hurt if you leave it. It'll probably act different ingame. See what works.

Looks nice so far, but a few things I would like to point out from your screenshots. I don't really have an opportunity to play right now, since I'm getting ready to go back home.

The background palette is a little saturated.

Surely there must be a better way to fill in the dirt tiles?

The water seems to go behind the door. Maybe you should put the door on a raised platform.
Overall, I'm looking forward to playing both the demo and the full version whenever that is released.

In the second last screen shot, why are the hills in the background of the cut scene red? It looks extremely out of place.

I don't know why the mountains are red, and I have no idea how to fix it. I asked people several times, but they never answer me. So, that's why their still red.

Looks good so far.
But the NSMB cave dirt tiles look weird...
Isn't there just a blank tile you can use?

I just tried it out, and my remarks are showing, that this is a really nice level. The music and the graphics are fitting into the level's mood very well, it's a perfect stage for a first in a fire world! Great job.

Well, the hack itself is nice, just some issues and you'll have a good hack.
Besides what people has pointed before, why don't you put a side exit generator in the end level of the demo, and make like, the water where you can be hurt a different color, or something like that? That way, we can know where we are stepping, because sometimes I had to swim and I was small mario and I didn't know if the water was going to hurt me, or not. Well, I think that's all..
Now, the custom music was pretty good, I liked your style. The overworld was pretty simple, but without major errors.
Your first level of World #2, I've liked, it surely fits the Fire Theme as Hadron said.
So, keep up the good work.

C3 booth the 23rd
I only have time to play one level. I would play more levels but I want to hurry through the convention.

This is my first experience in a swamp like this. The playable character is Toad. When I kick a red shell into the swamp, I can hear the red shell bump the walls, but I cannot see the red shell. I let Toad jump into the swamp so that Toad can reach the two item blocks. I have surprise as the red shell hits Toad and shrinks Toad from super to small. I expected the red shell to sink into the swamp, but now I remember that swamps can be shallow, so they can have firm ground that prevents the sinking of the shell.
If I want to play as Toad, then I play this game. For now, I throw "The 4 Keys of Safety" into my bag and leave the booth...
