SPC Showoff/Sample Bank Thread

Superb~~!! :3
We need a 'nya' sample lol
There might be a way to rip it, but oh well.. it still sounds awesome without 'nya'! :>
It's possible that it could be ripped from the song, assuming you could eliminate the white noise surrounding it. Otherwise, someone brave could try and record "nya" into a microphone and use the resulting WAV file as the sample. Looking at you, Atma.

Cool port though.
Yeah that would be awesome if someone sampled a "nya!" in there, I just didn't want to deal with sampling another song at the moment lol. I just wanted to get it out of the way, the song was calling my name, begging to be ported.

What about the Mario Paint "meow" sound? I'm not sure.
I think a post layout goes here somewhere...

I am pleased to report that my Peanut Plains Port is finished.

Download here.

Edit: 2 days now... no one says anything. I'd double-post to add emphasis on the fact, but then I'd be accused of postcount++.
Check out my music!
I made this a couple of months ago, its my second attempt at a music port, and it went horribly wrong...sadly enough, my first port worked perfectly with no tweaking at all. I'm ABSOLUTELY not posting this to show it off, but so you can laugh at my epic failure. I won't post any of my okay ports here, unless someone asks, as all of my good ones are on YouTube. Link

Fake edit: @Moose Is that the same one as the Peanut Plains in the music section waiting to be moderated? If so, great job! ...too bad you didn't catch me when I was making my Kirby-themed hack...
Eh, sure. Why not? Kaizo hacking doesn't seem too ha-aaaaaaand I broke the ROM.

Yup. Glad someone noticed, finally.

We're allowed to post links to videos instead of SPCs?!?

Go ahead, just TRY to guess where it's from...

Here, a link to my best port...

Oh, and nice music I guess. Of course, I don't know how accurate it is, as I've never heard the original...

I have a number of ports sitting around on my hard drive that I haven't bothered to submit yet. Here's one of them. It's the music from the first level of Adventure Island on the NES.
Quintesson Judge: Silence, or you will be held in contempt of this court!
Hot Rod: I have nothing but contempt for this court!

This song is actually pretty inspirational. It sounds very RPG-like.

To start, I really love the harp riff going on in the first section of the song... unfortunately, I'm not really liking the ADSR you used for the opening chords. Try lowering the octave, or make the notes longer. The harp chords at 0:45 sound nice, though. It gives a great feeling to the song, especially with the crescendos you have in it. The song itself sounds very sinister, holy, and gives a cave-like feeling. I like the timpani and marimba 1:05. They both give an excellent effect to the song. There's something I'd like to point out, though it isn't really noticeable: You may want to change the $EE tuning on the lower piano, specifically at 0:53.

Overall, though, I really like this song. It sounds straight out of an RPG.

EDIT: Oh right. So I personally asked flashygoodness for permssion to port the entire Tower of Heaven soundtrack, and I've already started. Check it out: Luna Ascension

Nice port. It's funny, I tried porting that song like 1 1/2 years ago. Your's sounds much better though.
Currently working on a website that lists Minecraft Servers... if you have any suggestions for my Minecraft server list, let me know.

Dude, that is awesome! :o
It makes me feel like I'm chillin' on a coastline lol

My only suggestion would be to make the @0 sound smooth. Try applying an ADSR effect (Try $ED $79 $A2) to it. You can also apply a nice, gentle vibrato effect to @0.

Good work! :D
^ Not bad at all. It reminds me of a boss battle. That or a frantic airship level... or SOME kind of "frantic" level.

Alright. My turn again.

Please check this out. I REALLY like this, and I hope you all do too.

im trying to make another WIP and well, i myself suck at tuning samples, so

any feedback?

the percussion isn't done and the 3 main sample bits the guitar, piano, and strings are all giving me some trouble.

Very, very catchy. Nothing seems out of place or missing, and the volumes sound just right. Really nice, and I have to ask, does this use $E5? I heard @8 hit really high notes there.

Short and sweet. It kinda reminds me of the Wheel of Fortune, haha. Nice job with this.

Well first of all, what's the original song, and do you have a link to the Original-SoundTrack(OST)? It would really help to know the initially intended pitch of the song.
