What do you think is the most dangerous virus/disease that people can get?
I would definately say HIV, or even MND (Motor Neurone Disease). There are no cures for either of these.

How the heck did swine flu get in this thread, it's not even close the the most dangerous virus out there, more than 90% of people who get it live...I would say cancer and HIV/AIDS should be up in the top 5, but not swine flu.

Before I say anything, I must note that Swine Flu and Avian Flu are not very deadly, compared to most harmful diseases. They're just a different "breed" of the regular Flu, if you will.
I really think that Ebola is the most deadly thing that one could be forsaken with. What it does is melt the digestive system, and force it out the anus. It can also spread to other parts of the body, and the death rate is something like 95 percent, compared to the death rate of AIDS, which is about 85-90 percent.
Something else, that isn't really deadly, but would be the absolute most terrible thing to have, is Locked-In Syndrome. The affected would be completely paralyzed, except for the eyes and ears. It's also commonly mistaken for a coma. Imagine having a doctor come in to your room with your family and say, "It doesn't look like he's going to come out of it, it'd be best just to let him go." Knowing that the doctor is going to kill you, you just want to scream at him, you're ridden with fear, and the worst part is that you can't do a thing about it.

According to some people, Bird Flu isn't deadly to humans because our bodies are too cold for the virus to thrive.
I have never heard of Ebola, it must sound very nasty.

The Most Dangerous Virus.
> Swine Flu (H1N1)
> The Most Dangerous Virus
DOES NOT COMPUTE
There is technically no such thing as "the most dangerous virus/disease". Many viruses and diseases kill unconditionally and while some may cause more pain than others, they may spread more or something similar.

Ebola and bubonic plague are definitely among the most dangerous diseases. They're awfully scary to even mention...
And yeah, swine flu and bird flu are not that dangerous. They're just more diseases over-emphasized by the media.
