Yeah. There isn't really much to explain.
Basically, HostGator (our old host) took down SMW Central due to us producing a very high load. One week later, we got a new server.
Apologies for the inconvenience while the site was down.

So you guys gonna keep us in the dark about server information of this server too or can we expect full transparancy.
Or my favourite option, will it work and give us no reason to care?

I notice that it's a lot faster too. I remember SMW Central being unreasonably slow for a few days before the downtime.
In any case, glad to be back! I never quite realized how much of a "home" SMW Central was to me. Don't know what you've got until it's gone.

Yeah I agree with Reading and reghrhre. The new server is faster for me as well.

Well, I'm glad the new server is back up. I'm also glad that the new server is generally better than the old one.
For about a week I was kind of bored at night...oh well, at least the downtime gave me extra time to work on things that I needed to finish.
Anyway, I hope this new server continues to be fast and reliable for quite some time.

I can imagine trying to get the new server going was somewhat stressful, but it's great to see SMWC's back and faster than ever. Thanks a lot for getting it back up!

Yeah, I also noticed how slow it got right before the crash. It's faster now? Great! So changing server has that advantage. Any other ones? Hopefully, the new server is better but I don't know much about servers so I can't tell...

Yeah I too noticed how slow SMWC was before the site went down. But now it's much faster. I'm very glad to see you all at SMWC again, even though I went on the IRC a lot. ^_^

Hopefully this server won't act up like the others, but, at least it's good to see the site running at a faster speed.

Also, to those who went on the IRC for the first time during the downtime: you are more than welcome to continue joining us on there. We peaked at close to 70 members, so that was rather nice.

Cool, the site works! It was totally depressing clicking my SMWC button and having no SMWC coming up! 
and the site loads faster too, which is awesome!
