I'm liking the mix of ghost house and cave graphics and the palette looks great too.

As for Bowser's castle, I'm gonna go for the very-long-level approach, but without the 1234 5678 splitpaths.
Rather, I'll go for 1 2 3 4 B, B being bowser. (amount of rooms is undecided)

I like what you made so far. It looks pretty good and difficult as well. Nice to see you're going to finish the hack. I'd pretty much play this. Yeah, a new Bowser boss would be nice. The original one is easy and I see it way too much in hacks.

School and stuff is keeping my progress on this hack down a lot, but I've finished one room in Bowser's castle and also have a plan for the second.

Would this be a good idea for a room in the castle though?

Also yes mario is invisible because of my god tier sprite memory setting, gotta fix that.

I agree. Even for a vanilla hack without ExGFX it looks cool. I'm not sure about the bricks palette...


Perhaps maybe some bushes to make it more grassy?
That's a pretty interesting castle you got there. The sprites choices are also pretty unique choices for a castle; I honestly haven't seen those sprites used in a castle often at all.

So yeah that's pretty cool.

Not a removal reason but what's the point of that fish?



The grassland theme plays in this section.



No idea why but sometimes enemies can be thrown through those slopes. This mostly doesn't happen so easily.




FG position is a bit too high.




Too many shells, causing slowdown.




Those platforms cause sometimes sprite memory issues (yeah, Mario is invisible)

I took a Bob-Omb through a pipe and it got glitched in the second section because it's a tileset-specific sprite. Either make them compatible here or make the player unable to take them here.

Well, coin blocks are different in switch palaces and may cause this. Please fix this.
