Here I will ask all my obnoxious questions, instead of creating a whole thread each time. Feel free to join me.
1. In one of my levels, instead of using completely new ExGFX, I used a GFX replacement ExGFX file. There are, however, things I managed to fit in extra, hill decorations, palm trees, ect., but they appear garbled on the first 2 Map16 pages, so you have to go to the other pages and set the 16x16 tile's four 8x8 tiles. Of course, this would mean when I release the level, Hach/FirePhoenix/Pikaguy will have to go themselves and tell the tiles to their corresponding 8x8 tiles by themselves. Is this okay, if I give clear and exact directions?
2. Will we be naming the levels individually? Or will we be sticking with W#-#? OR, sticking with the original SMW style and naming it "world name #", and having only the secret levels have seperate names. I wold recommend that we get to name our own levels freely, but let me know.

1: You are able to reserve Map16 tiles in the Map16 signups thread. Or did you mean something else?
2: As far as im concerned, there are no problem with making your own level names, so i guess its okay to change them.

1. No, that's not what I meant.
2. Thanks.

Hope you don't mind if I ask a question as well . . .
Are there any set deadlines (or tentative ones even)?

1. No you'll still have to supply the MAP16 page files.
2. I think we're using that smallhacker patch that allows for longer level names. They'll go something like:
World 1 - 3
Rumblethigh Forest
Deadlines: not really, apart from "ASAP".

Also: Regular Goombas, or "squishable" ones?

Are the levels going to have time limits, or are we supposed to set it to 0?

Probably regular goombas.
Time limits would be your choice I guess but it would be consistent to have them in every level.

Actually, I didn't use that patch. Don't see why we should use it, since we don't even need the "World x-y" stuff. I say, let people name their own levels. When you send in your level, state the name you want. ... ... ... I'd strongly advise everyone to change the name to something that ISN'T "World x-y", though, considering it'd be weird to see a level named "Rockslide Valley" only to find that the next is called "World 2-5". One would wonder what happened to 2-4. And 2-3. Etc. So... Please?

The World x-y naming was only meant to be temporary anyway.

Are we allowed to use the games flaws in our level design? Like having a growing vine eat through a rope bridge so that the area it was covering becomes accessable? I don't see why we wouldn't be allowed to do it, as long as it doesn't cause anything to look cut off.

I think stuff like that is okay because it's not a big issue.

What do you mean? If your thinking that you would have to take a P-Switch or something on a vine or a net. Thats really part of the game and most players can do that.

@InvisibleCoinBlock:
Originally posted by BLOCKMANWhen submitting your levels to the SMWCP, please keep in mind that you must NOT send an IPS. Instead, make a .mwl file and send that to me (or Hach) along with the ExGFX files you used, and a list of what music you used and their numbers. Thanks!
Also, you might have to notify BLOCKMAN/pikaguy900 in a PM that you want to swap out levels, as well as post it in the signups thread.

BLOCKMAN and Hach are currently creating a list of custom sprites that we'll be able to use. If you're planning on using custom sprites, you might want to wait until they finish the list.
