Mine was Bleach and although now I don't watch or read as much as I did it is still a good manga and anime. Please tell and explain...

Pokemon or Beyblade were my first. I think Pokemon actually... Back in the days when Ash might have been able to travel through more than 3 cities before filler kicked in and the season ended.

Detective Conan. It was, is and will remain my most favorite Anime I ever watched. It's cool that a more than ten years old Anime is still in production with 550+ episodes and 65+ Mangas. 
Edit: Current count is at 554 episodes so I was a bit off.

If you want to get technical, the first animé I ever watched... I don't remember the title of it, but it came on Nick Jr. following Eureeka's Castle, I think, and it featured animé-style retellings of many classic fairy tales, like Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel. I was 3 at the time. That was in 1991.
The first animé I "officially" watched was Sailor Moon, but I only watched a few episodes.
And the first animé I watched and got into was the Pokémon series. But, due to the fact that I don't have satellite or cable in my house, I couldn't watch past episode "The March of the Exeggutor Squad" because I couldn't get The WB at the time. And, using VHS tapes from Viz Video, Pioneer, and Warner Bros., I could only catch myself up to the next-to-last episode of Season 1: "Friends to the End". >_< Oh well. At least it insipired me to get a Blue Version and get into the games! =P

Dragonball Z. I've been watching it since the 1st grade, and have seen just about every episode of that, and Dragonball GT.

My first Anime ever was Sailor Moon, which isn't a surprise considering it was the first ever Anime aired in Germany. I know that I loved it back then, only I didn't know that it actually was an Anime (I didn't know about "Anime" until many years later). I don't really remember it much, I just rewatched the first episode of it on YouTube for nostaliga. I liked it a lot! It was very funny and had a pretty good dub. What more do you want?
Some other Animes I've seen in my childhood (that I actually remember):
Dragon Ball Z
Pokemon
Digimon
Attack No. 1 (called "Mila Superstar" in German)
Ranma 1/2 (they didn't even censor the boobs  !!!!!)
Captain Tsubasa
Hmm... That's about it I guess. I can't really remember anything else. If I remember correctly, Ranma 1/2 was my favoruite out of those. olololololololololol

I think it was either Sailor Moon, or Pokemon (English). At the time, I thought they were the greatest shows ever to grace the Earth, but looking back, I was just a dumb kid who didn't know any better.
The first Japanese anime I watched was Sonic X, which is alright, but still nothing compared to others.

I started out with Robotech, then moved on to G Gundam. For a while I was into Mecha type Anime.
Edit: What I think about them? Hmmm, I think I don't like those anymore. Loss of interrest. Why? Hmmmm..

I watch the new episodes of D/P here and there just because I can relate to it, not really because I like it.
Othe rthan that, I am not really fond of Anime, the others on TV are pretty crappy. Naruto, Bakugan, Yugioh...

Mine was a bunch of odd ones. The first one was about a mercenary with a legendary gun that could only kill demons, and he ran around trying to gather the ammo for the gun in the first couple episodes.
It sounds odd, I know, and I can't remember the name of it, but it was amazing to me none the less.

I watched Sailor Moon back when I was like...what, 6? I also remember watching Pokemon and Digimon at around the same time too. I'm not sure which one I saw first though.
