Well the palette is bright green right now, which doesn't fit a cave level. Change it to dark green. You could also take the FG and make it a "neutral" green color.

As for the water, I am quite sure there is a way to insert the regular water in there, because that type of water will not be accepted in hacks.
Well, you can insert regular water, but I can't find the top for it. The animated water top doesn't work in caves, and I really, really don't want to have to deal with cutoff.

Edit - Nevermind, figured it out. Here are some new pictures.

I fixed the FG and BG as well as the water. I did press CTRL+DEL before making this level also.

That... doesn't look good, at all. The BG's shading is horrible, you should use a smoother gradient. The FG's top layer shading is lighter than the rest, making it really weird. I also think the FG and BG don't fit together at all.

Bleh, play around a little more with the colours and you should be fine. :>
Again, make the FG colors look green and the BG look dark green.

Also, I think you insert animated water by using ExAnimation, iirc.

BG = love. That must be the best water BG I've ever seen in my whole life. Although the shading is a little bit green. It could be a bit more blue-purple like to fit in a bit better.
Now for the FG, it looks amazing, but it's not really underwater like. Try a totally different tint, like ocean blue or be creative and throw a little bit of green in there. But if you want it to be like a cave that's flooded, I think it's very well then. Great job!

Thanks for the feedback George :), sorry for the late reply. I'll experiment a bit more with the background, to see what I can do with it. The foreground is meant to be of a flooded cave, so i'll be keeping that just about the same.
How does this palette look?

It's for a Yellow Switch level.
Well derp MF22.

It doesn't look too mind-blowing. The background is a bit eye-soaring, and the tint doesn't really fit the FG so wonderful. I must say, the FG is pretty cool, although the top layer is still pretty eye-burning and it looks like it has no shading. I also think it doesn't blend so well with the dirt palette.

Overall, a nice idea, but executed pretty bad. :/
MF22, I thought it looked pretty cool. The only thing I'd suggest is to tone down the shades of yellow because as GVS said, the shade is pretty eye-searing.
What? That's an eye-searing palette? Wow, you've got very sensitive eyes. O_o
It's not eye-searing in any way I can think of, but it doesn't look very good, sadly. I'll suggest changing the saturation between the FG and the BG(or just turning them both down, wouldn't hurt). I can also see that there is next to no shading on the FG, which makes it look flat.

The BG color fits well with the clouds, but not too much with the BG hills themselves... Don't hesitate to ask me for help, I'll be glad to :)

This is a palette I made for a level resembling a burnt forest. (as in the fire already happened) I don't think it looks all that great. Any suggestions?

edit: ignore the white part of the image, that's just my horrible cropping skills. #w{:s}

MariofAN: Its fine!, Not eye searing :3
Good work.

Derpy: I really like the differences between the FG colour and the BG colour!
Thanks 1UP! I personally thought the FG should be less green and more charcoal-like, along with the BG as well.

Anywho, I made another BG this one I think came out much better than the last one.

Edit: Let me know if the image is too big and I'll just replace it with a link to the pic.

That palette looks great! I assume it is representing a 'spooky' Halloween feeling.

Looking pretty nice so far, Derpy. I like how you used mode 0C for the nice eerie/spooky effect. The palettes you've picked look also very nice and are eye-pleasing. Although the tint you've picked is slightly too orange-like for me, making it not too eerie. I'd twist the tint with a little bit of grey in that, to make it more spooky.

But it looks promising so far.
Thanks you guys! And I'll see if adding a gray tint makes it look better, GvS. I do see where you're getting it, it does look bright for what's supposed to be abandoned.
Some cave palettes I made:

Brownish cave:

Muddy swimming part:

Pallete based on terraria jungle:

I will probably change the pipe palettes from this one tough.

I'm not too experienced in making palettes yet, but I think these came out quite good (also, special thanks to Atma for giving me some hints which made making palettes alot easier).

Also, yay 500th post milestone thingymajing.

That looks good, BlackEagle766! Only thing that bugs me is that the pipe in Screenshot 3 doesn't look to good. Other than that very good job!

Agreeing with this.
@BlackEagle766: Congrats on 500 posts!

Onto judging the palettes:
1st palette: Looks neat! The FG is nicely saturated and you did well on the color choices. The BG gradient doesn't look all that smooth however, you should look into that.
2nd palette: Basically the same as the first. Watch out for cutoff around the edges, though.
3rd palette: Terraria <3
I like the palette a lot. There's the pipe problem, but I assume that has already been fixed? Also, the underside of the grass is green, whereas it should be a darker shade of brown. It just looks weird as is.
