I'm making 3 ghost houses in my hack.

How do they look?
EDIT: 1400th post, epic win

@MarioFan22: I think that palette looks pretty good, it all sort of blends together well.
@Insignificant: The first 2 palettes (the gray, and brown ones) look great, the red one looks quite good, but I think that you should make the foreground palette just a little less intense. Other than that, good job.
I've never understood why the background must be totally black in most ghost houses. I mean, there's light, so it cannot be all dark. I know logic in mario games pff what the hell is this.
also I think you should make the player be able to tell the difference between the FG and the BG, here it's like the same colors and stuff (if you have a different scrolling in the bg that's fine though)
Other than than I really like how your brown one looks like.

EDIT : oops I forgot one thing, I've made that palette a long time ago, and I really don't know how it turns. =/

@Insignificant

I think the brown palette is better than other. The black dark one is wierd because the lamps not give impression that ghost house is lighted. But in the seconde screen, the aspect of all lights are represented.

That why i enjoy the second screen.

@MarioFan22

Yeah. The palettes of BG are in agreement with the FG.
Maybe I will edit the gray background so that there won't be lights. I agree that the brown one is the best.
Here's one more:

Too purple?

I personally don't think palettes with the same foreground colour and background colour look that good, so yeah that may be too purple. Of course, it fits better in an underwater level, so it isn't as bad as if it was a forest level or something like that. I would probably change the background color because I like the purple FG.

Maybe make the background a more reddish sort of purple, and get rid of the purple sprite palletes?

Does this look better?

Insignificant: Yikes! That, what is it Fushia? That tone hurts my eyes a bit. Why not try making it more blue? Blue and Purple seem like a great combo. But the foreground is good.
I think the foreground looks a bit too purplish, but does look good for ocean-terrain. (I always thought the coloring would look like a dark grey or brown like it was "wet" but eh) And yeah, fix the coloring so it's not so eye-searing. Make the back color darker as well, it looks too bright purple to me.
A cave palette I made for a cave.

It's meant to be a little 'unusual'. I have also figured out how to insert HDMA.
I think that pallete is real good, except the grass is too bright for a cave. I especially like the background.
That palette looks great JDC, the background with that gradient is especially awesome. I also think maybe the grass should be a bit darker, other than that it's great.
Thank you, Mr Esc and insignificant. I have decided to keep the grass the way it is, though. I want to maintain the atmosphere of the level, that is vibrant and colourful, so I think I will keep the palette the same. I hope you understand.#w{=)}
yup I've found an certain use for those "slanted water" tiles

i'm not proud of that gradient I made for the background, but I think it turns pretty well for the foreground
JDC: I am quite fond of that palette, and I do see what you mean by the colorful affect.

Spy: The Foreground looks quite nice. Really seems like outer space. I'm also glad to see I'm not the only one with uses for the slanted water tiles.
Spy: Reminds me of SMG2's cosmic cove galaxy. Im loving the how the pallettes go together and the use of slanted water tiles.

A silouette styled pallette. Im quite proud of it.
Dudes: Just re-read what I said in the SS&V thread.

...A windy fortress. Who knows where it will be used...hehe

thank you for the feedback guys :3

@1updudes > the only thing that I find odd is the eyes of the dude that are too bright :<
But this is a very good silouette palette, man, I like the bush in the background =D

EDIT: @ well Underway this is cool, but still basic =/ not a lot things to say
(Let me guess : the white pixels is the wind effect no ?)

Spy: The guys eyes are supposed to be big a white, mainly as his eyes are normaly like that. :P He ate his fair share of carrots if you catch me drift.

Underway: *re-reads* Thanks!

I made a palette for Dinosaur Dungeon.

I will change the rock palette later.
