@Masterlink

The palette is overall pretty generic, but what can I really say? It does its job, delivering the dark, brooding feeling of the level, and that's all that matters. Nice choice.
Here is my palette. Feel free to give comments!

(off-topic)
Is there a way to upload images instead of posting a link, like Masterlink did?

Also: The original level is below.

in both palettes, you didn't make your ground have a proper gradient, and this is making a weird effect not good-looking x_x
also you have reddish foreground over a dark blue background, they are clashing together =/
i like the background in the first pic however

1. They're the same background.
2. I got rid of the red-blue level and switched it with the gray.
3. Color gradient? It looks fine to me.
I might try updating the level if I can come up with a cool gimmick for it.
Mini_Coin: Palette looks.. meh. Seems fine to me. Although, the Gradient seems quite weird, can't quite place my finger on it.

Also, in order to post a picture you just press the little button above where your post text goes. To the left of the smiley face, looks like a mountain with a sun in the sky.
Nothing too amazing, but I finally think I'm pleased with my retooled-first-level's palette.

I think it looks pretty nice. Is that mushroom a part of the dirt or did it fall through it? (the real one :P)
I like that a lot! Matches the BG colors perfectly.

It's dirt. Should I change the palette?
Anyway, I've updated my palette.

Generic message box.

3UP Moon along with a stunned goomba.

I think I have fixed the color gradient, because it went from light to dark INSTEAD of dark to light.

@PowerStrike
How could I've not seen that?
It was so very obvious!

By the way, I'm planning on changing Mario's GFX to coin player GFX.

@LunarYoshi
Awesome palette! It fits perfectly in a sunset/sunrise themed level!

it's a green disgusting lake! aaaaaahw!
yes, I've always hated editing the smw's underwater palette, never comes out with something creative =/

falso edit: man, fixed those blue bubbles

Wow. I'm really liking that palette! Seems like a somewhat dirty lake :P Also, nice HDMA going in there bud!
I think it looks really nice. Looks like a dirty, polluted lake.
Very awesome pallete, Spy! looks like a dirty lake, as Maxodex said.
I surely like making random levels! And I want opinions on the palletes of one of them.
Looks pretty nice. I think the palettes look nice. I don't see anything wrong with them.
Hey guys I'm making a castle level and I'm wondering if the BG and FG palettes are too similar. I feel like they blend a little much and some might not be able to tell one from the other. I'm thinking about darkening the FG at this point. What do you guys think?

They are similar, but you may fix that by:
A- darkening the shading on the edges of the FG, so that theres a distinctive line betwen fg an bg.
B- smothening the gradient on the BG
C- sharpening fg and smothening bg
If you dont really care about having to change the color to be diferent(darkening or brightening fg or bg) then do so, as its easyer

1. the item box, and "mario" in the HUD are exanimated.
2. there's not much you can do with decoration in a castle. so yeah, fences.
