Someone know about the japanase sprites??I don't know!!Impossible found in SMWCentral, but in another sites. You know the links??
Explain...
I'm pretty sure Japanese hackers gerenally don't want their stuff submitted here.
The japanese comunity is usually split up in small groups across many forums being so they generally only make their sprites for their small groups. Us being nosey people will go out of our way to find these sprites. That being said SMWC doesn't want any sprite/block submited if you are not the original creator. Also SMWC does not want the links to be publicly placed in the forums. Therefore the only way to get these sprites is to know some one who has them and will send them to you in a PM or some one who knows links to them and will send you the links in a PM. And more than likely anyone who posts a link in here will get it removed and warned about all of this.
Basically the Japanese kindly asked us not to distribute or link to their sprites, so we won't do as such.
In general (and maybe even by Japanese members, though) you ARE allowed to submit sprites not made by you, but make sure you DO have permission to do so. If necessary, I'll even ask the person in question if (s)he gave you permission.
What do you mean Japanese sprites? Oh, you mean sprites programmed by Japanese people. Hate to break it to you but not all "Japanese" sprites are awesome. It drives me CRAZY how people stereotype Japanese programmers as perfect beings that anything they produce (even if it's garbage) is always GOD-Tier... seriously. Let me guess, you played one Japanese hack (Brutal Mario) and now you think it's the stuff. I bet you can't even name another Japanese-made hack besides Brutal Mario. Also, IF these Japanese Hackers are so great, why don't they put a password on their material so the wannabes can't steal it? Doesn't sound so smart to me. I'm not trying to be an @$$hole but come on!

Back to the topic.

The time, energy, and TRIAL & ERROR associated with programming a sprite is overwhelming. Would YOU want your precious sprite that you spent AT LEAST 2 weeks on being downloaded by some noob SMW hacker who puts it in his/her/its crappy hack? What's worse, your hack is finally released... but it doesn't impress people AS MUCH AS IT COULD HAVE because they have ALREADY seen the neat little sprite that the noob stole. Hell - the noob may even get credit for making the sprite! This last paragraph is why there are no links.

On a side not - I love Japan & Japanese people/games! I just DESPISE stereotypes.

VIP series. The Mario. :P :P :P World (whatever it's called). All good hacks. These (or at least the latter two) even have good level design, which Brutal Mario obviously lacked.
I can agree that the Japanese community is stereotyped too much though - but they don't have everything. A lot of stuff - also regarding ASM - was found and/or created by the SMWC community. It's not like the Japanese community beats us on everything regarding ASM. Heck, Maxx's N00b Boss was used and adapted by the Japanese, even.
And let's not forget there ARE n00bs in that community as well.

As for the sprites, I guess you hit the nail on the head. This is likely why they asked us to not link to any.
Basically, Japanese programmers who are actually good at coding sprites may be trying to impress the players that they are really good at ASM, but they can lack on good level design and use the sprites in bad ways. Some times, I think it would be best for a Japanese programmer to make good sprites for good level designers that way the hack shown to it's full extent. Ussually, when I find a Jap sprite, I can't wait to use it, but that "Can't waiting" forces me to make a bad level abusing the sprite. But if I find a Jap sprite (an ex. would be those bullet bills shown in SCORP's Blackhole project), I keep it secret to those I absolutely don't know, and even if you ask, I will usually reply with

"The sprite isn't mine and I am not giving you a link to it. Sorry."

I don't think it is right to just give jap sprites away, especially if you found it. Now there is a major difference of finding the sprites. If they REALLY don't want thier ASM distributed, they should put a password on it, otherwise, if some hacker finds it, they will most likely download and hopefully use it right.
Anyone know the website of any japanase sprite??
No, we don't...

Didn't you read any of the posts in this thread? :\
This thread doesn't seem to lead anywhere. We won't give you any Japanese sprites. Google them, give up, whatever, but don't wage war against my poor brain cells.
