I've made a Sprite Set list on my own.
It was a pain in the ass to make it and it also contains some extra information concerning the sprites. It contains information, with which Sprite Sets you are able to use falling stones and mud, butterflies, dragonflies, decorative frogs, birds, donut lifts, earth platforms, crushing chomps, chasing chomps, small blarggs, platform ghosts from 1-8 and platform ghosts from 5-4. It's written with Word, so you need either Microsof Office Word or the Microsoft Office Word Viewer, which is available for free.

It's nice to see you made a new sprite set list, and I'll add this to the helpful information thread along with mine. I don't really see why this was necessary since my list was basically 95% correct, and if it seriously contained so many errors that a second list like this was needed, I could easily have revised the whole thing or recheck each sprite set on my desktop. Heck, if a user actually PMed me the occasional error so I can fix it instead of just claiming that my list was wrong every now and then, you wouldn't of had to waste time making an entirely new list. >_>
Either way, nice to see you're helping so much here in the Yoshi's Island forum. Also, out of curiosity, what method did you use to check each sprite set?

I've made two BIG levels and put every sprite-set-depending sprite in it. Then I walked along them with Yoshi, so I could see, which sprite can be used and which one is glitched. I've forgotten a few, though, I added those ones later. But the list actually should be complete.
Oh, and also, out of curiosity, what method did YOU use? =)

Oh I think I see what you did there. Not a bad method at all. But putting all the sprites in each screen, wouldn't that make some disappear and such?
IIRC Blumiere used BGMapper. A program useful for seeing YI sprite sets and ripping stuff.

No sprite disappeard, as the disappearing sprites-bug only happens, if you place too many sprites in one screen or if you place sprites above or below other sprites.
