Welcome to the Mecha_shadow booth here at C3. I'm glad your here.

Now first I must say that I wanted to be a part of the last 2 but couldn't, first due to a computer problem and second for other reasons.

Anyways I have been working on this hack off and on for over a year and haven't got much done. but due to reasons I'm not going into I was able to completely make a one level demo that i made in just 2 weeks.

Now much of my project is still secret to everyone some of which are even secret to me "just cause I haven't thought of them yet. laughs" but thing are going good and I hope to join next C3 as well.

Here are some screenshots.

Here is the link to the demo.

please give some feedback.

Sorry I couldn't enter C3 this time, I've just had some much other stuff to do, And I'm also re going over the basics of level design again.
When I read the name "3D Mario", I was expecting something like an ASM hack in which you're platforming through a mode 7 level (like Mario Kart without the karts).
Although this hack isn't what I expected from such a title, I must say that this hack looks very graphically appealing to the eye.
I like the pseudo 3D effect you did with the graphics, my only complain being the status bar.

--------------------
Nice looking hack. Looks like a 2.0-2.5-d game. I'm going to try this one out.
The graphics look very nice, but the perspective is off. Rather than shapes being rectangular, they're now trapazoids because you flipped the side tile rather than make a new one.
It does seem interesting, but not really 3D, in my mind. More like...2D 7.5. :)
I like this a lot. It's cool and unique.
My only complaint is the question mark blocks. They only look 3D from the top, while the FG GFX looks 3D from all angles.

I think something more like this would be better.

(NOTE: Its only a "!" Because it was to hard to draw a "?")
Some questions/comments:

- It that water on the first/second screenshots?

- The POW in the second picture doesn't look 3D at all.

- Mario is going through the "dirt" in the second picture, but it seems (I assume) you can't go through the "dirt" in the third picture. There is a palette change, but I attribute that to the underwater-ness.

Other than that, this is awesome.

Actually, DKC did the same thing, albeit slightly more subtle than this.
Yep, I knew this would be here too.

Going to try it out right now.
The concept is pretty cool! However, some perspectives are quite twisted...
