These are some interesting paintings! You have a unique style, and I do like your color choice.
My favorite is the first image(a girl).

Interesting...yeah, the girl is probably my favorite, too, although I think the dog looks the most accurate to reality. The colors you used were...unusual, but not bad. They add a bit of mystique to the paintings.

That's not a girl, that's Ixtab *shot*
No i dunno.
My favorite is the girl, obviously.
But the cooler is Vipper, even if its anathomy looks odd.
They are really sketched, is that intentional?

I'm not sure I understand the question. The only one that was sketched before painting is vipper, and the painting also happens to be the only one done with oil when I thought it was acryllic. Meaning: I attempted to add water to the paint to give a more water color feel. It failed D:
Also, wow, I forgot I even made this thread. I have some more paintings I could show, but right now everything's at my mom's house.

i decided to show off what i've been working on. it's a picture of my girlfriend and her dog, i plan on giving her the finished product as a 'will you go to prom with me' gift.
i've been working on it 30-120 minutes a day, 3-4 days a week for the past 3 weeks.
oil on canvas.

I like the dog. It looks so warm and fuzzy.

That's a pretty twisted style... it reminds me impressionism or something like. That's pretty cool.

thanks. i've worked on it in a few more times since then. some time very shortly after those first sessions, a bunch of boxes got moved into my painting area so i couldn't work on it for months. i started working on it at the art club at my community college which has been really annoying transferring all my paint and cleaning supplies but whatever. art club is once a week for 2 hours which is no fun, but i set up an arrangement with my mother to come to her house and work on it there.
latest progress, about 12 hours total work. how is it?
here are some things that concern me:
-the 'real'ness of the shirt
-the head band/red in the shirt too bold
-lips still need to be finish
-chin needs to be redone. too bright on the right side
-the eyes were off so i took them out complete, have to add them back eventually. or not?
-add green in the head band/red of shirt between the pink spots
-neck line where neck and shoulder connect needs to be darker
-redo the needle
besides that, i'm really proud of it so far.
