I've been skimming through the hacks removal log and I keep seeing the same mistakes over and over again. Since a lot of people don't read the hacks submission guidelines, I figured maybe instead of making people read, I can have people watch. These are all examples of what NOT to put in your hack.

That's good. It will be very important to learn how to avoid get your hack removed.

hm, this is good, although there are more wrongs you can show (few examples: OW stuff, slowdown, multiple Yoshis/baby Yoshis, Yoshi in castle set or level with podoboo, etc.). Also, you should've explained exactly how not having sprite bouyancy can crash your game (podoboo).

Mean trick No 2 was win...
*Switch*
Floor breaks...
What about glitch abuse? Forced Small? No reset door? Unreasonable bonus rooms?
Well I guess the video already covers the basic...

That's why at the end of the video I wrote There's more... because I didn't list them all, just a lot of the most commonly used.

In my hack I only really violated 3 of those rules,
1. Using bottom row by accident.
2. Layer 3 message block dissapearence.
3. And glitched graphics (which I'm not proud of).
I might have changed SOME blocks Map16 data but only to spice things up. And scare you.
You should put blandness there.
I'm proud though because I managed to keep cutoff to a minimum.

And there's more: OW crappy palettes, wrong events, etc.

you should also put "not enough time with P-switch" its really annoying when you have to fling the p-switch in the air to get enough time

And... you should put "Kaizo traps", since they aren't accepted in Hack Submission Guidelines.

He put the invisible coin block trap and the victory death. Those are the two biggest Kaizo traps.

Well, you could do a NSMB wii approch with having to press switch (that you can go to via the secret exit) in order to find the normal exit.

Perhaps someone should make a hack abusing all possible traps and map16 abusing (Eg. Concrete blocks that act like brown blocks or coins)then call it the "What not to Do hack"
Most Importantly let all the Newbies Know play so they feel the pain of these stupid traps.

MoonyMoons4Christmas:
Your video explains what the creator of this thread has already said. So, it's becoming a bit repetitive showing your video, but it's not an offense.

It's called Chaos CompleXX
But anyways, nice tutorial. It's a nice list of things to do, and hopefully people will stop thinking they are "funny" and such.
