Tip: If you give a muncher tile custom graphics, it will still act like a coin when a silver P-switch is active, whether it looks like a coin or not. So make sure to use ExAnimation if there's a silver P-switch in the area.

Does anyone know what event or whatever handles the "Peach is picking flowers at Mario's house and then Bowser comes to kidnap her" scene? I want to remove that entire intro (I've already made it force-load directly from the "outside Bowser's castle" level directly to the interior without even showing the outdoor area) due to a plot not really involving Peach getting kidnapped at the start. I'd edit graphics and stuff, but right now, that's a little much for me- I'd rather disable the entire intro so I could do it all with the sprites, if I so desired. So, anyone know how to remove the first part of the intro?
That part seems to be hardcoded. Same as with the Mario chasing Bowser intro.

Actually, it's not. Scripts -> Event Script 2496 -> Delete everything before the Joypad Disable: stuff. That removes the ENTIRE "Mario enters Bowser's castle" scene. Seriously, I did that, and it goes straight from "Mario chases after Bowser when he kidnaps Peach" to "Mario is now inside Bowser's Castle". I just need help finding the Event Script for the "Peach has been kidnapped" scene.

Yup, I got your point. I had also been searching for that one, but like I said, it appears to be hardcoded. You see, even the open level 002 (Mario chasing Bowser level) found on event 4 is deleted. The game would still load the Mario chasing level (I'm not referring to the event but the level itself). Anyways.. if the intro window is controlled by the script, then I reckon it's somewhere on the 3000+ as this part seems to be controlling most of the games dynamic events.

That's because some other script is forcing that level to open, methinks, and also load Event 2496, which then handles moving the small Mario and loading Level 003 (Bowser's Castle 1st time)... :/

Something tells me the people at board2 already have this figured out, though.
Not to hijack, but can anything also be done about the intro movie to remove it?
If we don't have a hack with Mario, having an intro where peach is picking up flowers is out of place.

(I'm referring to the thing before the title)
Yeah, there is a way via ASM hack.

I'm yet to determine if there is a way through tampering with the scripts.

Well, let's see... I don't think the flower scene can be removed, as no one's found a single script yet that loads it... But I heard from board2 once that the rest of the pre-title demo is controlled 100% by scripts. Find the scripts, you find the keys to destroying that intro. Sadly, I didn't see the exact script numbers that work them...

It goes like this:

ASM pointer -> event script
Event script -> ASM Main Engine

Event scripts access the main program via UnkCmd (Unknown because even the authors of LS don't exactly know what they are).

It could be one of the UnkCmd in the event scripts.

This needs disassembling and a lot of tracing.
