Tiesto has officially trumped Armin once again. The new age of trance is coming...a shift from natural beats...to RETRO Trance.
...This will be a good 4-5 years of music for me.

Ah, Sag, I remember you were a Trance fan just like me!
How comes I never hear anything of Tiesto? I never find anything downloadable from him, no sets, no gigs, nothing.
You know what? Paul van Dyk is still the man for me. He has played the greatest set on Nature One this year and his Vonyc Sessions 166 is more awesome than anything.
Even Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance isn't reaching this limit of awesomeness lately.
But yeah, I really like what I hear from Tiesto. I am so hoping he will make music somewhere in Germany/Netherlands again.

Not sure if I would want that, though. Anyways, I don't think Armin and Paul as well as Above & Beyond and Guiseppe Ottaviani will do that.

Tiesto has been touring, mostly. He's been promoting his image in the US, and playing gigs all around the world. With his new release, Kaleidoscope, he's hitting the new age of music listeners with something different. It's his responsibility.
Paul Van Dyk is epic as a DJ and producer, but he stays at #3 because of a lack of 12'/digital releases and CDs.
Armin...BY HIMSELF, is a master genius. The issue I've had with the "style" he's pioneered is that the trance music genre has been SATURATRED with natural, atmospheric, generic, bam trance that all traces back to Armin's pioneering. It makes money, and is popular, but the winds of change have arrived.
Above & Beyond, Ottaviani, Tyas, O'Callahan, and other trance producers and DJs have made a name with their style, but the whole genre is on the move again. Tiesto started the wheel of change, and he's definitely taking Armin's spot at #1 DJ for 2010.
Haven't been paying much attention to the trance scene lately...my new love's been in progressive house by the likes of John Digweed, Dave Seaman, Sultan, Jim Rivers, and other new contemporaries.
