I feel kind of stupid but why can't anyone make a Yoshi's Island GBA hack?
Nobody likes to hack the GBA version of the game with a hex editor or make a level editor.

I know that there was a crappy hack that replaces the flower garden FG to snow FG in the welcome level on that version, but I forgot what it was called.

Here it is:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/q1nmBbf_5fo&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/q1nmBbf_5fo&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I'd like to be able to hack the GBA version, though.
Hmh, that is probably as close as it will ever get.
Unless someone creates an editor which supports this version, or somebody finds out how to easily hack the GBA version of YI with hex editing, then yes.
I don't see why anyone would want to hack the GBA version when they can easily edit the almost identical SNES version...

Maybe because there are six extra levels that weren't in the SNES version. Six more levels to edit, I guess.
Who wants to have more work? =P
Well, even if I could, I wouldn't hack the GBA-version, I like the classic SNES one better!
The SNES and Gameboy versions are pretty much the same, as Spud Alpha mentioned, except there's 6 extra levels, the palettes are brighter and the music is slightly different.
Also another difference which is very noticeable is the voice addition.

The fact that GBA hacks can be put on flashcarts and played on the handheld, most likely.
They also changed the dialogue a bit. They mostly changed the word "twins" to brothers, capitalized the word "baby" whenever it said "Baby Mario", and dropped the "e" out of every occurance of "Yoshies". But this bit of dialogue is the most drastic change I've noticed:

SNES:

GBA:

Kamek also doesn't say "Waaaaaah..." at the end of the game.
Thread bumping makes baby Mario cry.
