Tip: Test your levels as all forms of Mario (small, super, fire, cape). If it's possible to enter a level with Yoshi, make sure to test that as well.

Okay, thanks! I'll be sure to give those a shot!
Can someone name a few good RPGs for the DS (or gba) or the PS2 (I already know the wii doesn't really have a good selection)? I'd prefer something with classic turn based or ATB system. JRPGs are fine by me, and I might consider something like a strategic one, although I haven't delved to much into that subgenre. Action RPGs similar to Kingdom Hearts might also be good also. Some games I've already played would include FF III and IV (DS), M&L: PiT, SMRPG, Kingdom Hearts series, Pokemon, and I also hopefully plan to play Persona 3 and 4, and perhaps SMT: Strange Journey, SMT: Devil Survivor Overclocked, and perhaps some of the summon night series and chrono trigger.

Zephyr, you should check out Disgaea. It is strategic, which for someone as indecisive as me was a bad thing at first. Once you get used to it however, it is very fun to create strategies and try to stay one step ahead of the enemy.

If you aren't into Disgaea's strategic battles, then try Mother 3. You'll still have to have a strategy for a couple boss battles, but it isn't nearly as complex as Disgaea. Plus the story is just amazing. Many of the NPCs have their own stories, so talking to everyone you see is fun. Not many games are like that.
I have different game I played on SNES. Here is list I played. Any of you has play before that I didnt play before, please tell me and I will try if I like it or not.

Megaman X, X2, X3, and 7

Kirby's Dreamland 3, Kirby Super Star, and Kirby Dream Course

All Star Super Mario + Super Mario World and Mario Kart

Final Fantasy 4, 5, and 6. ( 2 and 3 is same thing for 4 and 6.)

Soul Blazer, Terrinma (hate big word to spell, I am sure you know this game.), Actrasie 1 and 2, Brain Lord, Illousis of Gaia, Tales of Phantasia, Star Ocean, Earthbound, Super Metroid, Yoshi's Cookie, and Super Bomberman 2.
Those who would like to try a 2D Action Zelda-Like RPG Rougelike, try the Binding of Isaac, as long as you don't mind having nightmares for the next few years. (Also, you have really specific tastes)
@bradzx: Congratz. You've just missed the very best game ever made, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
Also, The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse is a good platformer.

Terranigma! Great game. :)

If you liked Terranigma you'd probably like Lufia (Rise of the Sinistrals is my favourite). Interesting though that you'd beaten Earthbound but not Mother 3. It's widely accepted that Mother 3 was the better of the two.

Anyone know any score-attack run and gun games?
I've been playing a lot of DOS games lately (don't ask me why) and I've come across a few I can recommend.

Heroes - At first, it looks like your run-of-the-mill Snake game, but it's packed with more than that. The levels are actually pretty well designed with more than one "layer" and there's five pretty cool modes to keep you playing for a while, all involving more than one snake. Find it here.

Blood - I've talked about this game more than once. Find one of my earlier posts on this amazing game here.

Civilization - You may or may not have heard of this game, but the addictive grip of it is incredible. Basically, you take a tribe that has developed itself into a empire at one point in time or another (Americans, Russians, Egyptians, Romans and the like) and you're the leader making all the tough decisions. Should we go to war with [civilization]? What new technology should we research? How can we find new resources? What should we make/train in the cities? The detail isn't as deep as the later Civ's but it's good enough to keep your urge to play something else at bay for quite a while.
Ok, this isn't for me, but for my mum.

She says she wants a game that will wake her up without putting her to sleep. She doesn't want any kind of shooter game (top-down, side-scrolling, 1st/2nd/3rd person, etc.), and she doesn't want a game with little-to-no reward for completing it (If it's just a picture slideshow, she can go to an art gallery. If it's music, she can go to a park and listen to a musician. etc.). I'm not too sure whether she wants it on a specific system or what not, so I'll just list the ones we have: PC, NES (Note: No power cable.), SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS Lite.

I kind of wish she'd have been more specific... :(
Could you specify which genre of game she does want, please?
Genre? Um... I can't say what she DOES like, just what she said she doesn't.

She appears to dislike shooters, and attributes platformers as being shooters. Something about them being running around killing dudes. She even said the PokèMon games were about killing"fainting" various monsters and things.
She also said she didn't want to build a city for no real reward or something.

Not sure what genres remain after that. I'll have to ask her either tonight when she gets home, or tomorrow when stuff happens.
What about games she liked? you could name a few and we could give you similar games.

I don't really know any game that gives you a major reward for beating it that doesn't involve "killing" people. Metal Gear Solid had the infinite ammo and invisibility things, Pokemon has just about the other half of the game unlocked and Mario 3D land has another 8 worlds but it's a platformer and you don't have a 3DS listed.
