Hmm, Overclocked Remix's YouTube channel(which is just called ocremix) sent me a friend invite. Maybe it's just because I hosted all of Kirby's Block Ball's music awhile ago, but I still feel special :>

I don't want to disappoint you, but that channel sends a lot of friend invites. As I've seen, they have a crapload of friends. I got a friend invite from them about...a half year ago. Actually, I love the remixed musics, so it's not a problem. Probably they want to "advertising", or making more popular their channel on this way.

Send me a picture. I'll make one for you. Just, join us. *shakes fist*
@Blumiere: Your avatars are cool. Why would you stop with them?
How about Kagamine Rin?

I'm vaguely considering using the same technology in my random-avatar to generate random .css files to make random girl-layouts.
I'd totally do it, but I don't have any girls and all the colors have been used already.

Now just watch everyone stop posting.
I thought we clearly agreed that you wouldn't mention that...
I guess not. Oh well, you did forget to mention that 99% of it goes to charity. So yeah.
@Sunset Sonata: You can't blame me for anything. And just for that, you can't be the server at this Bar 'n' Grill. >=(
I'll do everything myself now...just as soon as I find someone to do it for me- oh wait, there are no servers around here? Kristian, as 'owner' you better do something.
I am hoping to have more time to write my story. I've been really busy lately. In fact, I was going to draw a few charactors in my story even. If I ever get the chance to scan and whatnot then I'll post it in the update lacking thread. Though, it would probably get one if someone would post there but atlas...it will wait.

Originally posted by JacobNo, I guess I just didn't put as much effort into the level design as I did with previous hacks. I used to think SMW2+3 was my best hack, but I really don't think that anymore. I really think SMW2+2 is much better. SMW2+3 is just loaded with too many random gimmicks. Looking back at it, I can see what I did wrong.
Anyway, that's why I started Golden Yoshi Returns. Getting back to the basics of fun level design, rather than unnecessary, lame gimmicks.
...Really? Most people on this website don't seem to think so. I think I remember ONE review out of the 31 on the hack's page that described the level design as anything below great. Supertails even said it was the best hack on SMW Central and a lot of the other reviewers said it's their favorite hack. If that doesn't indicate great level design, I don't know what does. :o
Either way, Jacob, like I said, I'm enjoying this hack very much, and I think I may like it even more than Mario's Keytastrophe (my favorite hack listed on my profile). I can't really compare it to SMW2+2, since they're based on two entirely different games, but I enjoy the SMW gameplay style more than Yoshi's Island anyway, so.
Speaking of hacks...have you started playing Super Mario Infinity yet?

Anyway, today was not a good day for me, and I won't go into details.
SMW2+3 is, in fact, one of the best SMW hacks on the site, and shows how much you improved (to the point that I believe you disowned your other SMW hacks). I personally find nothing wrong with random gimmicks.
I suddenly remembered Battleship Brawl and how cool that level was. If only someone could port that LazyTown song...

Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's bad. I just don't think it's as good as it could've been.
Anyway, I haven't started with your SMI hacks just yet. You said you released a newer version of both hacks, right? I guess I oughta start back at SMI1. For some strange reason, last time, I started with SMI2. o_O

SMW hacks... ahh... now it brings back some memories to me... Super Mario Universe... oh god that was such a newbie hack! I so sucked! And yet people liked playing it (aside from rather obscure comments... pending a Let's Play video I once found on AOL Video).
It amazes me at how... things changed since Universe, and between Universe II... now look at me: I got Universe III in the works, and Universe IV in the background with a simple music hack inserted into it.

Why does someone always have to ruin something for me by reminding me that it is related to Touhou?

Yep. I fixed the hacks to make them more accessible; no more unfair difficulty, coins added to blind jumps, graphical issues neutralized, etc. Custom music added as a bonus too. The links in the Featured Hacks section has the most recent version. And, yeah, you're going to want to start with SMI1; the beginning of SMI2 continues, like...however long Mario and Luigi took to open the door and walk into the room after SMI1. XD

Hah, reminds me of my hacks too. I'm pretty sure SMI1 was the first hack to have a truly advanced story and SMI2 was the first to have actual cutscenes, but the price that comes with being the first is that you're quickly one-upped. The VWF cutscene tool I'm making use of in my new hack makes SMI2's cutscenes seem so primitive. See if you can believe that they were groundbreaking in their day when you see them, Jacob.

Well, I just downloaded SMI. Time to give this a go.
Don't worry, I won't judge your cutscenes against VWF standards. ;)

I've never know how to use VWF Cutscene tool. Honestly, never worked for me.
I use old cutscenes.
