Well, just look where I placed the wrong tile in the wrong spot and look what happened.

I.. just don't understand? :(

Neither do I.

Could you please be more specific about the problem? I can't really tell what it is.
I just made the mud steep tile higher and a little to the left and I got that. I think it should be in place...?
That's easy to explain! The grassy part of the mud takes one tile before the solid ground starts, that' why it comes like that, but I don't understand why this should be a glitch... It's not the DAT-files, it's EggVine's "fault". If it was able to display graphics, everything would look all right. This is a very minor issue and in my opinion not worth to complain about. If you find the hair in the soup, maybe you should make a better editor yourself??? :P

Well, from what I remember, EggVine does handle the mud tiles strangely. Just another oddity of EggVine you need to get used to. At least you got it to appear properly.
I find it strange, that you have to scale the down left slopes in the mud and in the flower tileset negatively... Well, I am glad to have already done World 3. Now I make a mouse-"based" level with Cross-Section art:

Yoshis fan: Well that's kind of strange but I got it now.
I don't have the enough knowledge to make an editor myself..

Your the creator of the editor right?
I have to ask you some questions.

Why does the horizontal flower platform need sometimes to be 1 tile to the right?

Why does the tree cover have to be in negatively size?

Why can't you apply graphics to the editor?

Why to extend the cloud you have to stretch it vertically?

Why doesn't monkey with watermelon start swinging on a vine?

There are so many questions...

Edit: I wonder how you do make cross section art.

Nonononono! Don't get me wrong!!!
I did not code EggVine. It was Squash Monster. I just improved the DAT-files and made some minor text edits to make things more understandable. If I would have coded it, I would have called the Version, for example 0.82, but I AM NOT THE CODER AND ACTUALLY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS STUFF, but I wrote the DAT-files so you can edit the game A LOT easier!
However, I am able to answer some of your questions:
1. No idea what you mean with 1 tile to the right...
2. Because that is the setting of the game. The editor has to save data to the ROM. The bytes it saves for the positive scalation are differently from those of the negative one. I find this odd myself, but you can't do anything about it.
3. Because the pointers are missing. If you type in something as your tileset a special set of objects from a certain place of the ROM are used. If it was known, under which circumstances this and that graphic is used, it'd be doable.
4.That's already fixed. This was an issue of the DAT-files.
5. Why should it? You have to use the climbing monkey with watermelon, not just the monkey with watermelon.

Heh, no, I'm not the creator of EggVine. As YF said, it was Squash Monster.

Unfortunately, your questions will fall unto deaf ears...Squash Monster has not worked on the editor in years and has no plans on resuming.

Wow, Thank you very much =D
That was exactly what I mean!
(I am planning to make a 5-World Hack, too, as you may have found out) Did you find out about this yourself (just curious)?
The only thing I know, is that the last Offset you gave me edits the white hand's position. However, thanks a lot =)
The other things aren't hard to find out f.e.
- How to make the 6th world not being shown
- How to give the player a star after 10 levels, not 9
- How to have Secret levels (thanks to Mattrizzle, BTW)

No, monkeys are awesome.

Edit: Anyway, where can I find Squash Monster?

I don't know. He apparently dropped off the face of the planet a while back, but at least he left EggVine behind.
Ah, now I got the problem you meant!
I first thought it was the Y-Axis you were wondering about, but you meant the X-Axis. It's easy: Everytime you need to make an object negatively horizontal you must act as if it would be one to the right. Everytime you need to make an object negativley vertical you must act as if it would be one deeper. But that's really EggVine's fault, as it scrolls the object one to the left or one up, while you make it negative. You'll see what I mean, when you make a negative-scaled object the next time.

I found it for Jacob when he was working on SMW2+2. Nearly every change to the map screen you can see in that hack (including the icons) was my doing. [/offtopic]

I got that but I still don't understand what to do with the Tree Covers. (29, 2A), they just don't go right..
Can you give me a screen shot of a good tree cover placing?

Good to know =)
BTW: Is there a way to make the Tap-Tap boss being transformed before 6-4? Because in my 5-4 Kamek didn't come for some weird reason...

@Pipoca: Here you go:

Thanks for that Yoshis Fan. This thread can now be closed if it is necessary.
Man I always miss out on the hacking discussion. :(
