As this is now the official thread and not just one to show off the title screen, I believe an edit is in order. So anyway this was the original post on this thread:

Do you agree?

The Music fits with the title of the hack, also the slow movement of mario gives it a calm feeling.
Nicely done MarioVsShadow!

Don't you want to design your own title screen like I did?

I've made an ASM update. You can now slide tackle! Also I applied the Player 1 only patch.

Pretty good hack so far. I really like the Mario GFX. I don't know if they're yours, but hey, they look good.
Also, the SMB3 remix fits really well with the title screen.
Problems:
1)In the message box, enemies is spelled wrong.
2)Tetris music doesn't really fit that level.
3) This one's more personal taste, but I don't really like the SPARE ITEM text in the status bar.

That hack looks pretty interesting. I'll be looking forward to this.

Looks very good, I'll be playing the first patch when you release it. I'll test it for you, if you want. PM me.

This does look pretty decent. I just gotta wait for the story. (Did you make the song yourself for the title screen or is it on the site (if on site, what is the name?))

You're using overused ExGFX which make the hack seem a bit uncreative. I do like the new player GFX. The tetris music doesn't fit at all, and is really annoying.

The box around 4ever has a bad palette. Also, have you ever heard of a hack call Mario Forever? I sugest changing the title a bit mainly since it's too similiar to Mario Forever. That slide tackle also does seem interesting. Although I don't watch videos often, I'll agree with the following.

But, that music most likely isn't final so I'll just continue on with my post here.

I do agree that it is overused, but that just will make the Graphics a little less appealing than the hack itself.

This. Also, editing the player palette never hurts.
One question, did you code that slide tackle yourself or use a patch?

Ok. In answer to all questions. The title screen music is Mario Lost Levels Opening. The graphics weren't made by me, they're in the graphics thread but seem to be very rarely used. I think they're under the name "Alternate Mario" or something just do a ctrl+F and look for [PLAYER], it's somewhere there. The slide tackle is an ASM patch that will kill enemies. All the music isn't final. I plan to change most of it by the final game. Odds are there will be no demos released of this as it's only 16 or 17 levels. There isn't really much of a story. It is basically Mario wants to pay a visit to peach's castle only to find that his path is obstructed so he has to use alternate routes to fix the path, he later finds out that bowser obstructed the path so he could get to peach's castle to... that part should be obvious (think every other Mario game). The palletes for Mario will be edited by the time it's released. Also if you do want to beta test then feel free to PM me. I would make my own title screen but they're stored in 2bpp format which is like sh!t to edit. If anyone wants to help make some original gfx they're more than welcome to.

Using the mode 7 game over screen patch on SMW central I've made it so Mario will fall into a deep, dark abyss on the game over screen. The pallets I probably wont change as they're not my strong point...

LOLz I like the new GAME OVER Screen, its so hilarious. Mario spinning out of control like that is a nice touch. I can imagine him screaming in fear like he does in SM64 when falling from a high ledge. Good to see someone is using my SMW Mario edits in their hack.
MARIO: WHAAAAAAAHHHOOHHHH!!!

So that's the Mode 7 Game Over patch? Is it really that simple to insert via xkas?

*bites lip* That's... too easy. Where's the catch?
Okay, I just looked at the patch myself. And this, !Freespace, gives me reason to believe a user SHOULD point it to some free space.

I didn't have to. Just inserted it without even thinking about it.

Did you have any other patches used? If not, then that is why it worked, and if so, then you are just really lucky that your other patches didn't point to the same space.
@The Thunder
If you are using any patches, you should use the Free Space Logger to find free space in your ROM, otherwise you could overwrite another patch.
