If you were talking about me, it was more so a test to check something.
Blumiere wanted me to see if I could still make a request while being banned, because of the various stupid requests that were made a few days ago. (Check out the request removal log thread)

I don't think my meaning of "joke submissions" was made very clear, so allow me to elaborate. What I mean is that some people have been submitting, say, sprites, with nothing but a TXT file saying "lol". Jumpluff, for instance, submitted a musical track with nothing but empty channels in an attempt to be funny.
In a nutshell, submissions which aren't even remotely related to the section or SMW hacking = no.

There's a difference between "joke submission" and "'joke' submission." Maybe a better name would be "joke submissions" and "un-fucking-funny submissions."
haven't had to deal with this myself but I'm glad steps are being taken. This shit shouldn't happen period.

Thank you all. It was annoying to see stupid stuff like Big Mac with cheese or something like that. It was not funny. Glad to see there is a stop to it.

I dunno... I wondered what made it obvious it was a joke. I dunno...when I got it there was some huge satisfaction. (It's been a while...hmm...the port COULD be useful...maybe if you want a silent titlescreen. Huh)

But are actually real submissions that are just stupid allowed? Like stupid looking ExGFX? (Not like emotions, just odd)

Well, uh, yeah. If it's obviously a submission by a user who simply can't draw/create a sprite properly/etc., then there is no way we can control that. It's these blatant joke submissions that have nothing to do with anything which need to stop.
