Ok,so first off,I am very sorry about my last hack,Super duper world. Epic fail. The map for it was just disgusting, and, well, you get my point. So, I have decided to make a new demo/hack thingy. I have been learniing more about ASM,custom sprites, custom blocks, custom music, and just about everything else you can think of. I have not decided a name for this hack yet,so I would like it if people would suggest names. Anyyyyyywho...here is the first level. A basic grassland level with a short cave area, with Wild Ptooies.
Comments and error point outs are higly accepted.

Very good. Here's some problems:
1) Your enemies are pretty hard for level 1. Particularly the Chain Chomps and Ptooies. (I probably have the name wrong. The green YI Prianha Plants.)
2) The Bullet Bill Launcher's palette in the cave is bad.
3) In the cave, the status bar palette is bad.
4) The underwater Chain Chomp bounces on nothing.
5) Mario walks into the wall at the end.

The Koopas and stuff are fine. It's the Ptooies and Chain Chomps that should be removed. I don't know why your status bar is messing up though, considering you have no background.

The status bar uses these palettes:

If you want it back to normal, just put the original palettes back up and the status bar will be fixed.
As for your hack, it is looking good. If you fixed the problems already addressed, it will be a lot better. Keep up the nice work.

Your level is good, but you must fix the status bar in the underground sector. I like the music and sprites used (especially the YI Wild Piranha).
Please, show screenshots!!!

While that level is quite hard as a first level, it's a great level overall. However, one more thing that I notice is that the time limit is a little too low. That's the only thing I've noticed that no one else has though. Still, great job, and great music selection so far too!

Oh yeah, the time limit. That's the one thing I noticed and forgot to point out. Good work, Strudel.

I have not seen this mentioned, but if on the midway point, the bottom tile of it, its animation is off, many people don't notice it. So I suggest you just connect it to the ground. Just stand by the midway point, and look VERY closely, the animation is off. I learned this somewhere, I think it was from Ninjaboy's LP of a hack.

There is an animation fix of the Midway Point here: http://www.smwcentral.net/?p=showexgfx&id=107
Just open AllGFX.bin in YY-CHR and overwrite the old midway point graphics with the new graphics. Copy from the GFX file in the the zip.

the overworld has a pespective issue. the bridge is vertically and horizontally straight, yet, for some reason the two islands are different heights.

Ok I fixed the Midway goal animation problem. Now Im working on level 2 and the pallete of the status bar in that one cave area.
EDIT: While testing some of level 2, when I bounced on note blocks,There was few frames of the "bouncing" animation that had a gltiched graphic/animation. How must I fix this?
EDIT EDIT: Here is some screen shots of level 2. You must keep collecting coins to survive. (This is mainly a screenshot test,as this is my first time posting screenshots.)

I will be posting more screenshots often.

Here is the second area of level 2 with a nice background.
I have provided coins in lots of places so you wont die.

See,I told ya!

Oops! I accidently killed myself lol. That is as far as I have got anyways. I will show a video after the whole level is done.
EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT:
Ok, I will resume making this hack now.

Not bad, there is just a few things lacking.
1) Apply fadefix if you weren't planning too, just make a backup so you don't corrupt your ROM.
2) Also, and most importantly, fix the noteblock garbage. Just copy and past the tiles into the ExGFX you are using in the same spot.
So yeah, nice job overall, the level looks quite fun to play.

Pretty much, but I'm talking about the bounce block sprite. It's in GFX13, just paste it in the exact same spot in the ExGFX you have in slot SP3, or tile 36B in Lunar Magic.

Hm. Just a suggestion: Maybe make the water a little deeper. It's just plain annoying to jump when your in shallow water.
