| Tip: Linear levels aren't necessarily a bad thing. After all, most official Mario levels are fairly linear. |

I'm having a small problem with AddMusic. I've just finished writing a custom piece, and after fixing it up (flipping the < and > signs and adding the song and channel headers), I inserted it into my hack as level music. AddMusic gave no indication that there were any problems with the song or the insertion, but when I tried to play my level, there was no music or SFX. When I died playing the level, the game froze.
This isn't the first time I've put custom music into my hack, but this is the first time this has happened to me. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem? I want to have this music up on the site before too long, but no one will download it if it doesn't play...!

I'm using Romi's AddMusic. I'm going to try a different approach to solve the problem, and if that doesn't work, I'll send a copy to you or someone else.

I tried to port the song "Around the World." It's an old, mid-twentieth-century melody that would actually sound great in SMW.
I managed to get it working, but it did not end up turning out very well. I'll need to toy with the midi file and see if I can fix it up.
