I've always found math to be pretty easy (even though I never understood algebra until I got into calculus, I was still able to get all the answers correct through pure logic). Up till now I have gone through high school Algebra 1-4 (3-4 is actually mostly trig), high school geometry, college Sadistics (statistics) twice, college Pre-Calc 2, college calc 1+2 and college physics and never had any problems (90% or higher) until I started doing "discreet mathematics" this year, which delves into all sorts of unknown territories that make very little sense to me at all. We stop using numbers for math and begin using boolean expressions. For instance,

Prove through boolean algebra that if P is true and P -> q then q is true.

It's really just common sense that this is true, but how do you prove that with algebra? There are no numbers, which is what always gets me here. And that's one of the easiest proofs there is...

I guess I'm just lucky that my college is a hippie school and we don't give out grades, so I'll try to talk my teachers into giving me a good evaluation even though I don't get the math stuff... (I get it enough to BS my way around now).
math is really easy... i mosty work 2 OR 3 LESSONS(!) in front of where i need to be. i mean, come on, calculating
x²+7x+6=(x+6)(x+1)
or
24AB²+9B²=3B²(8A+3)
is EASY!
Math has always been an easy subject for me though it's getting a bit difficult now with doing things like trying to fins the value of x while there are fractions in the question whereas the numerator is a mathematical statement with x in it (meaning something like "4x - 5 over 7"). Though it's been easy otherwise.

Also, I'm actually interested in trying out calculus. Doesn't seem fun at all but wouldn't hurt to try it.
Math is usaully really easy for me, I usually have about a 96-99 on report cards, math puzzles on the other hand, (example: 8_5_7_2=66) aren't quite so easy.

Used to be easy. Let me tell you: GEOMETRY IS HARD. And i'm a little lazy, so I don't usually do homework... did I have homework? See?
Well, what we're doing now is pretty challenging, and i normally do good (minus the fact he gives us 100% for homework he doesnt check, and im in CP (AKA accellerated)
We're doing something like this. Solving for x.
Ex. x²+6x=-15

And get x+3=±(the square root of)6

I think i did my made up problem right, if i didnt, im gonna fail my test monday... oh well, at points im good, at points not.
erm...how do you solve that equation, step for step? o.o;;
Math used to be a breeze, but then I got to calculus. Now my mind is screaming "STOP!" because my teacher is trying to teach too fast for any of the students to learn.

i got that one month ago. was pretty easy, but i am starting to forget how it works >.< i normally got something like
2x(5x*2)(x+2)=20
at the end, but now i can not solve this anymore :(

the answer is ((8x5)-7)x2

x²+6x = -15

If x = 2.449489742783178 (the square root of 6), then:

2.449489742783178² + 14.696938456699068 = -15

2.449489742783178² = 5.9999999999... rounded up to 6

which seems to equal out to a load of bullshit. If it were just 6x = -15, then the negative version of that would be fine, rounding it out.

2x(5x*2)(x+2)=20

2x * 10x * (x+2) = 20

20x² * (x+2) = 20

(2 * 20x² + x * 20x²) = 20

40x² + 20x3 = 20

20x3 + 40x² - 20 = 0
=
-1 + 2x2 + x3 = 0

feel free to figure that one out all you want. Here's a hint: x is a decimal.

x has no meaning unless the equation has an equals sign and an actual number - otherwise, it's just a location to place any number. 5/7 is 0.714825 repeated.

X = -1.618, -1, .618 (all of these at different times)

At this point it ceases being being pracitcal to use algebra and you just have to graph the thing and find it's x intercepts.
I am 13 and make straight 100s on math. I am a math wiz.
For me, it depends on what topic of Maths we are studying.
I kind of dislike how in our Math classes, there is so much focus on finding the x in simple formulas like ax²+bx+c, or ax³+bx²+cx, or ax^4+bx²+c, or whatever, you name it. All of this still went through until the first couple of months of the 10th grade. And we already started doing this in like, what, the end of 8th grade?
Hence why calculating in Chemistry is much more difficult than in Math itself. It's pathetic.

I'm currently taking Calculus, and it seems easy enough. Stats tend to drive me nuts though...

In fact I think that about most school subjects.

This, except I don't find all math easy. Just most of it.
Math is very easy for me. I can do Irrational numbers when I'm 11. Thanks for Kumon.

I'm starting to get a bit better on my maths journey, but I just took a quiz today, and I have a feeling that the simplest crap I could do on the homework assignments is gonna kick my ass on the quiz. Then again, we couldn't use the book to look at the examples, so I can see WHY my ass will soon be kicked by numerical symbols...
Maths is easy when you start to find it fun.
