I personally love harry potter. I have always loved the concept of the whole "secret world" they live in with magic and stuff. I love the detail of it. I have never read the books, but I do want to at some point. And i do like the movies. I dont really like the first two though, despite the popularity of the old directer, i dont like him. But I do love the original dumbledore more then the new one, he just played the character better.
edit : I am not sure why you have that stuff in your Signature...
and "edit" would just be the edit in the post, not the signature...

I always thought that the Harry Potter movies were very well done, however coming from someone that read the books before seeing the movie, it's a little lacking. I found that the amount of detail that was in the books was far better than the movies, as it all came together in the end. By the end of the movie I felt that there should have been more included in certain scenes, details that I know from the books.

As some of you may know, the film of Deathly Hallows is to be divided into two parts. If that doesn't include enough detail, I don't know what cuts it.

I have all seven books and all six movies. I just started reading the books again. My favourite book was Prisoner of Azkaban until the newer ones came out. Now I'm not really sure.

Well, I love the books when I first read them. They are written so well, and it just works. As for the movies, the first 4 were great in my opinion, and then the next 2 were a bit disappointing for me. I just hope they get Deathly Hallows right, which they should seeing as it's two parts.

Same here, but I just don't find them as 'epic' as many other fictional stuff out there such as Kingdom Hearts.

Well, HP movies are well done, but the sixth in particular was... not that good! Instead of telling what is written in the book, it just told the love story about "our heroes" and the meaning of the "halfblood prince" was in most part... hidden. The latest movie actually gets the "twilight" concept -_-

Yes, but they were only quoted, while in the movie it has been put in evidence hiddening the real meaning of the movie.
