yet another problem with them : i am making a vertical level,and the 1st screen scrolling pipe works, and the second one used to, but now all the ssp exept the 1st one make the sound effect of hitting the big boo when i press down. does anyone know what went wrong ?

Custom blocks don't work in vertical levels if I recall, neither do non-generator sprites with an extra bit of 1.

Since when could the extra bit be anything but 2 or 3?
Anyway, on-topic, I've seen Screen Scrolling Pipes work perfectly in a vertical level before, so that can't be your problem. Maybe it's the header?

What? I've seen SEVERAL instances of custom blocks in vertical levels. Take Super Mario Infinity 2, for example.
