Have you ever played a hack and wondered "What is this song" or "What are these gfx"?
Ask away in this thread, and hopefully someone can answer you.
BIG NOTE FOR THOSE WHO ASK FOR MUSIC:
When asking for music from X hack, provide a video, an spc or a media file such as .wav or .mp3 where you can listen to the music! Nobody wants to play a whole hack just to let you know what's the name of that specific song.
To get the SPC, open the game in ZSNES, and right before the song starts, press F1 and select "Save SPC data". The SPC file is saved in the same folder as the ROM. (In snes9x, click on "File --> Save other --> Save SPC data").
For the video, make sure you specify the exact moment when your music plays, in case there are more.

I'm sorry that I don't have examples, but what is the music played in VIP4's Bowser Castle, and what is the music played in the first area of hackfan's Explore!?
And doesn't the sticky in Basic SMW Hacking cover this? I could be wrong...

For VIP4's bowser's castle, do you mean "LONG SFC WORLD"? Because the music in that is, Gen's Castle Battle from Romancing SaGa 3

I assume he means the Bowswer's Castle on the second star submap, not the oddly titled penultimate tower level on the main submap. I have no idea what song it is, though.
In LAOSE, what is the song in Aerial Palace?

Bowser's castle in Vip 4 uses the last boss music of Final Fantasy Legend II

It actually just uses the regular boss music from FFL2 (see: here). The final boss battle music against Arsenal was called "Save the World!" or something along those lines.
man ffl2 was a fun game in the 90s. <3

This is a song that's actually very popular, but, being myself, I don't know it's name. It's used in several places, one example being Gemtoa Heights from Super Mario Omega, and another being the Ant levels from Dan's Adventure (it's also used in SMW2+3, but I forgot where).
I vote for sticky. This thread will be very useful.

Well, besides SMRPG's forest maze music, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXOn-f1TV7c Underwater city was also used in gemtoa heights.

that is from megaman 7, turbo man's stage. Found in the ExGFX section of the site. (I think)

I find myself wondering quite often what certain songs/graphics are called, so it might be a good idea to sticky this indeed. Under some conditions, though:
- Try to actually solve people's problems instead of just posting your own.
- ...Wow, there's really only one condition.
If any mod has a good reason to disagree with me, feel free to desticky it.

No more help needed. It's Romantic SaGa 3 - Podorui (strangely, it was SERIOUSLY so strange name on VGMusic).
