This is my first SMW hack look at the screenshots and tell me what you think.

I'll fix it:
Well, the first screenshot was useless.
As for the second one, I see a bit of a perspective error in the OW.
And the OW is a bit bland.
More things to be pointed out later.... maybe...

Your images didn't work, so I fixed them.
The player graphics look pretty good, and the overworld doesn't really have any errors even if it is rather flat.
What's with Peach's hair on the overworld though?

I'll explain the perspective error.
See how the bridge has a shadow under it? That means that it is "in the air" and that it is connected to a cliff.
But at the top part, by the waterfall, there is no cliff, and I don't see anything that looks like a slope.

Well the water fall extends to the main overworld and Peach's hair i'm working on it.

What I am saying is, that you should add a cliff to that "semi-peninsula" by the waterfall.

1. There's already an official game named Super Princess Peach. You don't need to change the name, though.
2. The title screen would look much better if you just used the little letters.
3. As said, the overworld needs work. Besides the dodgy tiles and perspective issues, there's also cutoff.
A little time and care can make your hack that much better. Just keep at it!

For the overworld, incase you are unclear about the perspective errors the above posters are pointing out, here;

Otherwise it's definitely a nice start, it seems you have a good grasp on quality.

Did you set freespace? What problems are you having?
EDIT: Also, I recommend you change the title, as it's probably not a good idea to use an already used title. Think of something else. I haven't seen any hacks entitled Super Mario World or Yoshi's Island. If you absolutely need Super Princess Peach, at least make it Super Princess Peach: *insert something here*.

Good OW, I like the mix of SMB3 & SMW decorations.
As for the level, I don't really know how to comment about it yet since there is not much to see right now.
