I'm working on a new hack. I've given up on my last one, because it sucked. I've codenamed this one NOASM. It uses absolutely nothing out of Lunar magic or any ASM, so you could just call it a vanilla hack. What I have so far is the overworld. Check it out.

In my opinion, it's much better than this.
Questions, comment, death threats concerns?
EDIT:I'm now calling it Mario in Iggy Land. This is going to be the first in a series of games. Mario will go through each of the Koopa Kid's worlds, defeating them all.

The overworld is slightly blocky and there is a huge perspective error at the bottom.
Is the overworld finished?

The overworld is a bit too square. Don't just make every piece of land a boring rectangle; add some different shapes. Also, all but one of your islands (the bottom-right one) have a wrong perspective on the bottom.
Plus, I'd like to see level screenshots.

Worst OW of the day. Just my opinion but-- redo it completely. Too many parallel shapes, giving it the most generic uncreative aura I can sense. Sources indicate that you should look through some featured hacks, and what's this?! I'm getting a reading that you chose no-asm because you're incapable of inserting. I highly suggest checking out the tutorial forum.
Have a nice day.

I'm sorry. I didn't know it was a REQUIREMENT to know ASM. I'll come back to the website in about a month or two. I was aware people could make hacks that involved nothing but Lunar Magic.

Quite a few problems.
-Custom palette would be nice (very minor)
-Very Blocky
-The Smoke isn't right above Yoshi's House

It is NOT a requirement to know ASM. I actually prefer vanilla hacks because you have more flexibility within a choice of tiles.
I would like level screenshots too, when you get some.

oh no, no, no, no. ASM is not required at all. However you must understand even using Lunar Magic, is using ASM, albeit much "easier". Post more screenshots so the others and I can give more criticism.

Ok then. First, I will show you when some levels are done. I've fixed many of the errors pointed out. So, here is the fixed version.

Edit: 200th post!

Unless you're making it in a hex editor, "not using ASM" is impossible. Lunar Magic adds dozens of ASM hacks.

Ok. I have more to reveal. Here are some level names for you. These are in order.
-Yoshi's House
-Linear Levels
-The Sky!
-Run, RUN, RUN!!!
-Is This Safe?
-Iggy's Web Hosting
Start at Yoshi's house and follow the trail to see which name is assigned to which level. Use the map!

I'd have to say, those levels are really widespread, and personally, I would start all over with the idea. I can say you put moore more effort this time, but I advise you to make the paths shorter, to add more decoration, and to make it less square. I would seriously like to know how much time you spent on this. Not trying to be rude in anyway, just try again.
EDIT: Lol moore

Excuse me, what? Vanilla hacks give you the least flexibility of all. You have to rigidly conform to stuff that was in the original game, where you can do whatever you want with ASM/ExGfx.

The dots in the water look kinda messed up don't you think? And guys, I think he means that he isn't using xkas and stuff like that by saying hes not using asm. the OverWorld doesn't look to bad if you ignore the dots but it would be nice t add in some more rounded areas. (But yes this one is ALOT better than your old over world.)

Umm, where to start?
1) That level is far too short, even for the first world. Definitely make it longer.
2) The palette of the background hills seems a bit odd, but not too bad.
3) The muncher run at the end is easily doable with one star.
It's not terrible, but the big thing is: the level needs to be longer.

I know. Since it's the only grass level, I wanted to implement a lot of ideas to it. I'm still thinking of some.
